Minerals are a MUST

Liz James · October 20, 2021 ·

Do you follow Jen O’Sullivan over in the FB group, “The Human Body and Essential Oils”? She drops great info on the science side. This particular post [f hers isn’t science-y… but it is super helpful!

Mineral Essence is a highly underused YL Supplement because:
1. Many people do not understand its value. (Most people walk around with mineral deficiencies and don’t know it… and the symptoms of a particular deficiency shows up and often gets labeled as something it’s not…. or the doctors scratch their heads and say, “We aren’t quite sure what’s wrong, but here’s a medication to mediate the symptoms”… never addressing the actual deficiency. Heavy sigh. The reality is that mineral deficiency is an enormous problem in the USA, and western medicine health professionals are given very little education about it unless they learn on their own.
2. Mineral Essence has an “interesting” taste😋.
I’m trying this recipe today! Who else wants to join me? ❤

You know how Mineral Essence is an acquired taste? Well I haven’t quite acquired it just yet. 😆 My friend Patricia Paes shared her recipe and I’m now hooked!! Seriously! Let’s come up with a name for this one!
Glass full of ice.
One dropper of Mineral Essence.
One squirt of Jade Lemon Berry YL Vitality Drops + Energy.
3 drops Tangerine Vitality.
12 ounce of water.
Shake or stir and drink up!

It has such a refreshing taste!
Should we call it:
Energy Essence
Mineral Magic

Thank you, Patty!

His little umbilicus got the standard dunking in a mix of Thieves Household Cleaner, Colloidal Silver, Frankincense, and Mountain Savory. Keep ’em healthy from day 1!

Postpartum Anxiety

Liz James · October 13, 2021 ·

Postpartum depression. It affects 10-15% of women post pregnancy, and often begins a merrygoround of medication use that is hard get off. Take a few minutes to read this gal’s story. She is not alone.
Several years ago at the pharmacy, I began asking women who were getting new prescriptions for antidepressants or antianxiety medications if they had received labwork prior to being handed a first time antidepressant or antianxiety  prescription by their doctor. Remarkably, 95% or more had not.
This issue isn’t always about low progesterone (read the story) . It could be an unresolved thyroid issue, a low Vitamin D level, or many other possibilities fairly easily spotted by doing proper labwork analysis.  Sadly, insurance often won’t pay for this, and many doctors who work for a medical conglomerate healthcare system won’t order the needed labs because it falls outside of the approved diagnostic protocols set by upper management or insurance companies.
Save yourself some time and grief and get the labs necessary by paying out of pocket. It can be done easily in most states. This is one of the services I offer in my health coaching calls. It just might change your life. 😘

Purity Matters in DIY Body Scrubs

Liz James · October 8, 2021 ·

I was only a little surprised to see this amazing list of DIY body scrubs on my favorite protein bar company’s blog.  Have ya’ll tried Perfect Bars? 😋They are AMAAAAAZING…. and they have a pretty impressive ingredient list (as well as being NonGMO, gluten free, and low Glycemic Index)

As always, if you want maximum benefit when doing something good for yourself (like a Perfect Bar or a DIY body scrub), choose quality ingredients.

I only use Young Living essential oils for a variety of reasons:
1. I trust Young Living and have been to 5 of their farms. Show me any company that will open up their production facility/farm to the public on nearly any given day, and you’ll have my full attention.

2. If I’m going to ask an oil to “do ” something, I’m going to darn sure make sure it’s high quality. You know that saying….. “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”? The same hold true with oils. You will get what you pay for. I use my oils in ways that yield remarkable results….. but only because high quality tools make all the difference.

3. Have you ever researched what it takes to keep the “active” part of an oil “active” in the distillation process? I was like … and …and😍 about 8 years ago when I  went down that rabbit hole for the first time. There is an ENORMOUS difference in what an essential oil is capable of doing if it has been grown free of harsh chemicals and fertilizers in untainted soil,  harvested at the right time of day and year, distilled at the right temperature, pressure, and time, with the right equipment (stainless steel and glass) versus something produced under dubious conditions possibly mixed with who knows what.

4. If you are 👩‍⚕️ like me, you’ll appreciate these books as a great place to start learning:
📚 Aromatherapy for Health Professionals (by Price)
📚 Clinical Aromatherapy (by Jane Buckle) – often used as a text book for aromatherapy certification for nurses.
📚 Evidence Based Essential Oil Therapy (by Johnson)
(It’s amazing how much of this information they scrub or bury on the internet. That’s what happens when something works really well for our health but doesn’t  contribute to the Medical Industrial Complex wealth. )

5. Personal Empowerment. Once the skills our great grandparents (and beyond) have been revived, there is no turning your back on the knowledge now in place. Education is my jam and I love helping others find their way.

If you’re curious, and want to know more, there is no time like the present to learn. Let’s chat.
