Fecal Immunological Testing or Colonoscopy?

Liz James · March 8, 2023 ·

I’ve been involved in several client, family, and friend discussions over the last couple weeks on colonoscopies. 🤓 This is another procedure we are expected to partake in as we age. While there is a time and a place for Western Medicine (and colonoscopies), I offer up this information:
There are a growing number of studies whose outcome suggests that having fecal immunological testing was AS EFFECTIVE as a colonoscopy (and without the risks) in people who are considered low risk (people with no prior history of colorectal cancer, no dark stools 💩 or rectal bleeding etc). Here’s a quote from one of the studies :
” The most relevant result of this interim analysis is that one-time screening with FIT was very similar to one-time colonoscopy with respect to the rate of detection of colorectal cancer, and there was no significant difference in the stage of tumors detected by the two strategies. ” Certainly, the colonoscopy will catch adenomas (which are benign fatty deposits), but again, this isn’t without risk.

Cologuard is a prescribed product, so you’ll need your doctor’s support in this approach. In my professional opinion, it is worth investigating.

Healthy Mind & Body Go Together

Liz James · March 6, 2023 ·

Exercise is integral to a healthy mind and body. It’s a piece of the puzzle, and if it’s missing, the body and the mind don’t lie.

The other vital component is soul work. Know Jesus like a best friend. That relationship makes all the difference in the world.

Mind, body, soul. If one is out of alignment, the other two will struggle to the point of failing.

March Young Living Freebies

Liz James · March 1, 2023 ·

Happy March 1st friends! I love waking up on the first of each month and taking a peek at our gifts with purchase each month. It’s a little like Christmas 12 times a year! 😍The YL gift pickers always do such a great job of reflecting the season with what they gift us.

Springtime typically means ALOT more outdoor activities, and that Golden Turmeric will come in very handy for sore muscles and joints. We have a decent sized garden and blackberry vineyard (which means hours and hours of manual labor…. we garden the YL way…. pulling weeds by hand 👩‍🔧👨‍🔧…. no toxic chemicals here!) Danette Goodyear taught me a little trick a few years back….. I flavor my yogurt with it….. yummy!

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t love Lushious Lemon essential oil blend. It is, quite simply, fresh and happy! It’s a great year round diffused oil choice…. it will make everyone happy (literally! You just can’t be grumpy with that aroma in the air 😉)

March Texas weather is erratic ☀️🌬⛈❄️🌤 (to say the least!), and the Steeped Vitality Orange Rose Hip Black Tea is a nice morning ritual for me, especially on the cold mornings we’re still having randomly. I’m almost out, and I love that they must have checked my pantry supply before they made their gift with purchase list 🤪! Tea leaves are one of the most chemically processed natural drinks we expose ourselves to (coffee beans too)….. which is why it’s so important to drink organically. We can rest assured that YL teas (Slique Tea is another favorite of mine) are clean alternatives to what is out there.

And seriously…. they must have known. I’m down to about an 1/8 of a bottle of the BALANCE Face Cleanser, and that was something I was going to add to my YL order this month… I was thinking about this when I was in the shower this morning. Now I can use that money to order something else I need, and still get the BALANCE for free! ( BTW, I am LOVING the Bloom essential oil blend as a face serum before putting makeup on. It was free last month… is anyone else using it and loving it too? )

And finally….. those 10 Loyalty Reward Points (when you place a 100PV Loyalty Rewards order)….. Points = product = money saved for something else. If you aren’t utilizing the Loyalty Rewards program, you are missing out on one of the most economical ways to get what you need.

What’s your gifted fave this month?

(PS: if you are not yet on board with YL, and some of these freebies caught your eye here’s link to access the goodness: https://bit.ly/3oFccZj ….. I’d be honored to help you on your health journey! )

Lovin’ On My People

Liz James · February 19, 2023 ·

Nothing says love like a good old ionic footbath detox! ❤️😜🤓 Seriously tho….. better that gunk is outside you than inside you🥴!

We sure had a fun morning loving on our Young Living community. If health and wellness isn’t addressing mind, body and spirit, then there will be a missing piece of the wellness puzzle.

Studies (multiple ones!) show repeatedly that the overall health of a person is affected pretty dramatically by their community (those they do life with). We are the sum and reflection of the people we spend our time with.

Is your tribe contributing in a positive way to your health?

Why I Choose Natural Healing: The Pharmaceutical Fallout You’re Not Being Told About

Liz James · February 3, 2023 ·

Infographic titled 'Activities that support serotonin naturally' with a lightbulb icon. Lists 11 activities: eat tryptophan-rich foods like turkey and salmon; aerobic exercise; spend more time in sunshine; eat probiotic-rich foods such as yogurt, sauerkraut, or kefir, or take multi-strain probiotics like Young Living's Life 9 or MightyPro for kids; schedule regular massages; practice yoga, mindfulness, or prayer; learn breathing exercises such as box breathing and alternate nostril breathing; volunteer, practice gratitude, and laugh often; aromatherapy with pure essential oils including frankincense, ylang ylang, and citrus oils; prioritize sleep hygiene and get 7-8 hours per night; and socialize even if you don't feel like it.
One of the (MANY) reasons I’m so passionate about finding alternative / natural healing methods is because of the fallout that always occurs to some degree within every single person who steps into chronic pharmaceutical use.

Sometimes the fallout is slow🐢. Sometimes it happens quickly🐇. When it happens slowly, it’s rare that the particular medication gets appropriately blamed. Such is the case with antidepressants (and hundreds of other medications) contributing to the surge in antibiotic resistant bacteria in our culture.

The consequences: antibiotics may not work as well as they should when they are used, which leads to hard to treat/ difficult to overcome infections. An estimated 35,000 deaths a year in the USA are attributed to antimicrobial resistant infections. I wonder how many of those who have died were taking medication(s) which promoted antibiotic resistance 🤔?

Interesting article: 👉How Antidepressants Help Bacteria Resist Antibiotics https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-00186-y.

I’m not suggesting anyone get off their medication. Have that conversation with a health provider who is not completely influenced by Big Pharma. And in the meantime, utilize natural ways to heal and support your body in a manner that doesn’t require pharmaceuticals. 😘

xoxo~ liz
