Cozy Fall Vibes from Young Living

Liz James · August 14, 2024 ·

Around about this time of year, I get sneakyðŸĪŠ and start diffusing Autumn scents🍂🍁 in an effort to trick my body into thinking it’s not 103 degrees outside. A tiny part of me secretly hopes that diffusing the crazy good Fall spice blends will coax Autumn into existence. (I know…. it’s early…. especially in Texas…. but a girl can dream! 🙃 ) .

Leave the endocrine disruptors☠ïļ behind this Fall and scent your home naturally! ( If you’d like to learn more about how this actually works, let’s talk about it!)

Cozy Fall Vibe Fall Bundle is a limited engagement / while supplies last thing, and a great opportunity to reset your home in a healthy, clean immune supportive way! https://bit.ly/FallVibes24

Wellness Tool

Liz James · August 12, 2024 ·

One of the wisest things you can do for your own health and wellness journey is to create a library of reference books and resources. Googling doesn’t always end well, and googling itself has been whittled down to a handful of culled resources by “the powers that be” (everyone should be using search engines like Brave for more comprehensive search options). Pubmed.gov searches are good too, tho not always the easiest to decipher if you aren’t used to reading research papers, AND you have to be very careful when reading as to who funded each study #fundingusuallyplaysabigpartintheoutcomeofthestudy.
The Essential Oil Desk Reference (10th Edition) is here! If you do not have this (or another edition), you’re missing out on a valuable toolðŸĪ“.

Earth Day Health Tips

Liz James · April 22, 2024 ·

Happy 🌎Day friends! We are interconnected with our environment, and our environment has an enormous (90% + ) impact on our health.
Yep. Our individual genetic makeup only plays a 10-ish% part in your health. The vast majority of dangerous genes can stay turned off by how we choose our environment. This includes the words we say to ourselves, our emotions, how we receive words said over us, what we put in our bodies, what we put on our bodies, and how connected we are to the environment that Elohim (one of the many names of God, which in Hebrew means “creator”) made for us. Just as He wants us to remain connected to Him, He also wants us to remain connected to the earth He created. Separation from either one will ALWAYS contribute to health problems.
Here’s a short video by Dr. Laura Koniver MD about grounding and how it affects your body.

Keep Your Pets Safe

Liz James · March 21, 2024 ·

Raise your hand 🙋‍♀ïļðŸ™‹â€â™‚ïļif you share your home with a critter or two (or roughly 55 in our case ðŸĪ—ðŸĨ°). According to statistics, 66% of us do….. and we love ’em. Pet families spend over $19 BILLION dollars a year in the USA on veterinary care (not including supplements, food, collars, etc). ðŸ˜ģ
March is Pet Poison Prevention Month and while we’re talking about spring cleaning, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about pets. Yes, they need cleaning themselves on occasion, but equally important….. it’s our job, as the ones who keep them well and healthy….to keep toxins out of their space as much as is “humanly” possible.
According to the American Animal Hospital Association and the ASPCA, these are some of the biggest chemical culprits for bringing harm to animals 👇.
🛑medications
🛑cleaning products
🛑 personal care products
🛑fragrance products
🛑 detergent and detergent “pods”
There are more (take a look at the graphic), but I bring these up to give you a 🙌🙌🙌 for probably already having fixed these issues in your own home and keeping your fur babies safer in the process. Go you!
Animals are often “the canary in the coalmine”. Evidence of toxin overload often affects them on a scale greater than in humans.
Take Georgie for instance. Georgie is our now adult opossum we rescued when she was just an itty bitty thing (her mama had died). Because she was so imprinted on us (she came to be with us before her eyes were open), she was not releasable, and she lives with us as though she is a house cat. Opossums do not live long. A geriatric opossum is over 2 years old. Georgie is over 2 years old now, and doing quite well. The reason opossums do not live long (in addition to getting hit by carsðŸ˜Ē) is that they are super sensitive to chemicals…. even more so than cats. Georgie eats all organic human-grade food (I shop at Trader Joe’s and Local Yocal for herðŸĪŠ), and has had almost zero exposure to chemicals of any kind. The same can be said for our catsðŸą, our dogsðŸķ, our dairy cowsðŸŪ, horsesðŸī, and chickens🐔. Their toxin load is extremely low.
âĪïļIf you happen to still be using traditional toxic cleaners, give Thieves Household Cleaner a try!
âĪïļmainstream personal care products? Young Living has a treasure chest of healthy alternatives!
âĪïļplug-ins or other fake fragrances? Get that diffuser out and use it! Young Living oils are safe for use around all types of animals. We even use oils to help them recover from wounds and illnesses, and rarely do we spend $$$$$$ at the vet anymore. We have saved thousands of dollars over the years by using resources like “The Animal Desk Reference” to solve animal health concerns. Remember that 19BILLION dollars a year the USA spends on veterinary care? So thankful Charlie and I contribute minimally to that number every year!
âĪïļ Detergents and “pods”? Thieves Laundry Soap is an excellent alternative (it’s concentrated so either don’t use but just a little bit, or use one of the recipes on H3 to make your own out of non-toxic ingredients).
Cleaning up your home without adding toxins to your pet’s life only makes sense (and it saves money in so many ways). They are worth it!
What’s one thing you have replaced that might have been shortening your pet’s lifespan by continual “small dose” exposure?
xoxo~ liz
If you are new to the concept of detoxing your home, here’s a list to get yourself started, and let’s chat…. I’m here to help you lower your toxin load too! https://bit.ly/ThievesHouseholdCleaningBundle

Unfair. Unjust. Intransparent

Liz James · March 2, 2024 ·

It’s almost like our food system has the same problem as our US Citizen travel vs Illegal Immigration.
Thank you OrganicEye for not only bringing this subject to our attention but also for FIGHTING for truth and fairness in the organic food industry. This is an obscene use of greenwashing and government-sanctioned persecution of US Organic farmers who are working so hard to provide for us. They are being regulated to death while their foreign counterparts are given basically a free pass. (I’ll post the full article in the comments below).
*****
Consider this:
On one hand, when a US Citizen flies ✈ïļ (one of the many reasons I don’t fly anymore), we have to prove who we are, perhaps prove our “health”, have “weapon like” travel-sized scissors and such confiscated, get scanned, groped, and irradiated and our luggage perhaps searched and always x-rayed.
If the US Citizen flew out of the country, they will be asked where they were, what they are bringing home, whether have they been around any agriculture or sick people, and the subsequent answers could mean a fine, detainment, and possible confiscation of personal property. Bonus points 🙄ðŸĨī…. we pay big bucks for this “privilege”.
On the other hand, our US borders are wide open and an illegal immigrant can walk across our borders perhaps carrying drugs, weapons, communicable diseases, or any matter of past criminal record with no form of provable identification, and they will receive 💰💰(our tax dollars) for doing so in the process.
*******
We citizens of the USA are really no different than a bunch of organic grapes 🍇 grown in the USA (versus the “same” grapes 🍇that are imported from another country).
Buy local and know your farmer. Support the farmer who continues to do the right thing against all odds and obstacles placed before them by the US Government.
Their livelihood and your health depend on it.
