These questions are so important. Frankly, questions like this ( per industry specifics) aren’t asked nearly enough in nearly every industry we all use (including banking ) because, we live in an age where convenience usually takes precedent over integrity and value…… all to our detriment.
Taking a medication for a symptom is faster than finding a root cause and addressing it in a slower holistic fashion, but…….. at what cost long term?
Running through a fast food drive through is faster than meal prepping, but…… at what cost long term?
Choosing 2 hrs on the couch watching TV or scrolling is “more relaxing” than working out, but….. at what cost long term?
Letting someone else be the primary decisionmaker about your own health is easier than being an informed medical consumer, but….. at what cost long term?
I could build a much longer list here, but I think you get what I’m saying.
Do your own research.
Learn which companies value purpose and integrity over profit, and honor them with your business.
There is a priceless value to doing things “the slow way” that extend far beyond a fine wine, well aged cheese, or a loaf of wildcaught yeast sourdough bread.

Chris Bowerbank:
“World Leader in Essential Oils” is emblazoned on Young Living’s Global Headquarters (GHQ) building. I see this every day when coming to work at the D. Gary Young Research Institute.
I like to break it down into specific categories as a stress test to see where we can continue to innovate and lead the #essentialoils market.
For example: World Leader in Essential Oils _________ (fill in the blank).
World Leader in Essential Oils plant research (Tyler Wilson)
World Leader in Essential Oils supply chain (Michelle Shinn YL and the SSBO)
World Leader in Essential Oils authentication testing (R&D)
World Leader in Essential Oils quality testing (Quality Control Laboratory)
World Leader in Essential Oils products with purpose (thanks #Gary & Mary!)
…and on and on.
Are there areas that #YL can improve? Of course, and that is where those of us who work at Young Living corporate find our drive and inspiration to continue leading our industry.
To give you a #science perspective, we ask questions such as:
Can we improve our EO #distillation technology?
Is there new #chemistry technology for the #laboratory that we should evaluate?
Are there #sustainable and responsibly #harvested plant #species that we should evaluate for their EO’s?
Are there natural personal care or nutrition ingredients that we should introduce as new or reformulated #YL products?
