Just stepped inside after a couple hours of early morning farm chores to eat breakfast (yogurt, blueberries, and YL Granola), and read last week’s Epoch Times newspaper. This is such a fantastic hardcopy news source! We’ve been subscribers for about 4 years now. ย Its weekly arrival is always something I look forward to for a variety of reasons.
ย
This particular issue has a beautiful article on essential oils, and much to my , Young Living was mentioned .
ย
Before there was Big Pharma, there were plants friends. Big Pharma may attempt to duplicate that which is created by God. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…. but imitation is still imitation and always falls short.
ย
As I always say, there is a time and place for Big Pharma (ex: emergent care). However, the majority of the time, lifestyle changes /choices along with the gifts God has placed on earth for our use, health, and enjoyment work wonderfully well.
ย
If you haven’t explored what Young Living has to offer for your particular situation, ask someone who has walked the walk before you. If you don’t have someone in your circle, book a call with me (complimentary), and I’ll help you discover your best place to start according to your personal health story.
Though this session was for people, the dogs, horses and even the cows were asking when their turn was. (I will be giving them their turn in the near future).
Raindrop. It isn’t just for humans and It does a body (two legged or four lagged!) good.

If you haven’t yet both learned it and experienced it, you’re missing out on a VIP wellness tool in your toolbox.
ย
Education is a big part of what we do. Personal empowerment is a key component of wellness.
History tells us our story. I love when Biblical truths line up with my day to day living. Sacred Frankincense is just a little more sacred to me after reading Dr. Cole Woolley’s post. Sacred Frank is part of my DIY face serum recipe. I have always felt a kindred spirit with Noah and his wife. Our farm is named Ararat Acres (named after the mountain the ark came to rest upon after the flood, and where all the animals were released. ) It felt so right when we named our farm 27 years ago, and it still does.
ย
Sacred Frank…. do some research on this VIP oil and then don’t be afraid to use it! It doesn’t work in its beautiful ways if it sits in a bottle on the shelf!
What Sacred Frankincense Means to Me โ Grandsons of Noah
You may be a bit surprised about the story I tell today. The people who harvest Sacred Frankincense are pure descendants of the grandsons of Noah.
Ali Ahmed Al-Shahri documented in his book โThe Language of Aadโ regarding the tribal origins of the Sacred Frankincense oleogum-resin harvesters. Noahโs son Shem had a 2nd great grandson name Joktan (Noah-Shem-Arphaxad-Shelah-Eber-Joktan). Joktan had 12 sons who settled the perimeter of the Arabian Peninsula (present day Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates) along the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf.
Ali Ahmed has documented that three of Joktanโs sons settled in present day Oman in the Dhofar Mountains surrounding Salalah, Oman. These 3 tribes: Uzal, Ophir and Jerah and their childrenโs subtribes are stewards over the Dhofar Mountains and harvesting Sacred Frankincense. They donโt own the land, but their right to farm, harvest frankincense, and graze animals is dependent on tribal lineage.
It is thought that tribal boundaries are marked by tetralith markers โ acting as tribal agreements for land boundaries. I have photographed many of these ancient tetraliths that are found in the high deserts where only wind and sand slowly deteriorate them.
These three tribes of Joktan make up present-day Shahra and Mahra language tribes in Western Oman and adjoining Eastern Yemen. These are the harvesters of Sacred Frankincense for the past 5000 years.
Ali Ahmed Al Shahri wrote a book โThe Language of Aadโ. Aad was a 1st Great Grandson of Noah (Noah-Shem-Aram-Uz-Aad).
Perhaps by now you are thinking, โLordyโฆ.is this information on the thyroid ever going to end?โ The trail of clues (and ah-ha moments for each individual) touches pretty much every aspect of the body, and there are many wonderful books and resources that go much deeper than I am here. Please, go research! You are worthy and capable of more than you may think. My goal here is to ignite the โah-haโ, and spur you towards digging deeper on your own, and perhaps that may even need to include finding the right health professional who will partner (key word there!) with you in your personal wellness journey.
ย
Recall that the thyroid has a symbiotic and synergistic relationship with many organs and glands in the body. (We havenโt even covered the adrenal glands and sex hormones yet!). There is a math phrase, โThe whole equals the sum of the parts.โ This applies in biology as well: Our body cannot work wholly unless each part is well maintained and works!
ย
Before we head further southward in the endocrine system, letโs take a look at a cliff notes version of supportive measures designed to keep your thyroid healthy and happy:
ย
Food has the power to heal or kill. Choose wisely and know your sources! Nutrients are best received by the body if in natural form, and if supplementation is needed (often the case in our imperfect world! ), choose naturally sourced supplements! Synthetically derived supplements are unfortunately the most common ones found in the marketplace and do not do the job well. This is what makes having our naturally sourced Young Living supplements a beautiful, safe and effective one stop shopping experience!
ย
The thyroid needs very specific nutrients to produce sufficient levels of thyroid hormones:
Balance Complete, NingXia Nitro and Slique Shakes). Recall that it may be a good idea to have an iodine loading test done to see if your body needs more than it is currently getting in your diet and current supplementation.
Additional ways to support and love on that beautiful butterfly within your throat include:
Keeping the toxin load to a minimum! Thank goodness we have the entire Thieves Household Cleaner to keep our homes, cars, ourselves, and our pets spiffy, clean, and healthy! Butterflies (and your thyroid!) are so very sensitive to their environment. Recall that toxins include toxic emotions and unresolved drama and trauma. Toxins also may include gluten in susceptible individuals.
ย
Be alert for chronic low grade infections that create systemic low grade inflammation, and mediate accordingly. Common sites for these to occur may be within joint replacements, root canals and other dental infections, sinus cavities, breast implants, and parasitic infections (usually undiagnosed!…. I personally do a parasite cleanse at least twice a year using Parafree along with major liver support)
ย
Support your toxin clearing organs so that they may do their job efficiently and effectivelyโฆ. Pay close attention to how well your liver and kidneys work! If you have an MTHFR gene variance, youโll want to support your liver function on the regular. The liver has to work that much harder to remove toxins from the body! Studies have shown that carriers of a MTHFR gene variance have a higher risk of developing hypothyroidism if left unmanaged. Conversely, if you have a sluggish thyroid and a normally robust MTHFR pathway, the sluggish thyroid will eventually affect the MTHFR (methylation pathway) that is needed to clear toxins (and fighting inflammation) efficiently from the body.
ย
Strive to live as medication free as possible. While it may not always be possible, make it a goal to aim for. Youโll never succeed in something if you donโt create a plan and work towards a goal!
ย
Thyroids love exercise! Incorporate an appropriate exercise routine into your daily habits.
ย
Remove all possible sources of fluoride and chlorine saboteurs from your world. Check your local water source for fluoride content and filter your water. Remember that Thieves Toothpaste and Mouthwash is your thyroidโs friend!
ย
Address Autoimmune Diseases holistically and reduce chronic systemic inflammation in the process.
ย
Chronic stress is among the gang of enemies hellbent on destroying the thyroid. Protect your thyroid as you would a small childโฆโฆ seriously. Use your skills weโve talked about and work on improving your stress quotient.
ย
Protect your Gallbladder! Recall the synergy between those two unlikely organs. If youโve lost yours, make sure you are supplementing with digestive enzymes such as EssentialZyme or EssentialZymes-4 to help break down the fats needed to assist in the conversion of inactive T4 to active T3.
ย
Sleep! 7-9 hours a night to allow the body to reset and heal.
Ashwaghandha: Although not a nutrient, it is an adaptogenic herb that has strong scientific credibility as a supportive measure for thyroid function. This herb is found in EndoGize and PowerGize.
ย
Supporting and managing thyroid health isnโt just for those with altered thyroid function. Itโs for everyone. We protect what we love, right? We are each a work in progress, and our work is never done because our personal lifeโs circumstances change daily. We tend to live in one of two ways. God has given us free will to choose throughout our lives, and we can choose to actively live or passively die. Iโve known people who (even despite dying) chose to proactively live. Itโs a beautiful thing to see, and their lives have glorified God. Our body is a temple created to serve and worship Him. Treat yourself as though you are a precious gift worth fighting for.
