Thank you OrganicEye for not only bringing this subject to our attention but also for FIGHTING for truth and fairness in the organic food industry. This is an obscene use of greenwashing and government-sanctioned persecution of US Organic farmers who are working so hard to provide for us. They are being regulated to death while their foreign counterparts are given basically a free pass. (I’ll post the full article in the comments below).

Consider this:

On one hand, when a US Citizen flies (one of the many reasons I don’t fly anymore), we have to prove who we are, perhaps prove our “health”, have “weapon like” travel-sized scissors and such confiscated, get scanned, groped, and irradiated and our luggage perhaps searched and always x-rayed.

If the US Citizen flew out of the country, they will be asked where they were, what they are bringing home, whether have they been around any agriculture or sick people, and the subsequent answers could mean a fine, detainment, and possible confiscation of personal property. Bonus points …. we pay big bucks for this “privilege”.

On the other hand, our US borders are wide open and an illegal immigrant can walk across our borders perhaps carrying drugs, weapons, communicable diseases, or any matter of past criminal record with no form of provable identification, and they will receive (our tax dollars) for doing so in the process.

We citizens of the USA are really no different than a bunch of organic grapes grown in the USA (versus the “same” grapes that are imported from another country).

Buy local and know your farmer. Support the farmer who continues to do the right thing against all odds and obstacles placed before them by the US Government.

Their livelihood and your health depend on it.
