Power to Heal – part 3

Liz James · September 19, 2020 ·

Part III: The power of the mind!
Early in my pharmacy careeršŸ‘©ā€āš•ļø, I filled a prescription written by an older doctor. I was a young pharmacist, and incredulous at what I was about to fill…… sugar pills. No, they weren’t pills for diabetes. These were flat out simple white pills made of pressed sugar and probably some other inert ingredients. My older co-worker pharmacist told me this particular patient had been getting them for years to help with her anxiety. Oh really?Ā  I thought…. This gal must be crazy. (again, the young naive pharmacist waving her newbie flag). Turns out, she wasn’t crazy, and the doctor was brilliant.Ā
The ā€œplacebo effectā€ isn’t a new thing. In fact, it’s been around since Methuselah. The mind is a powerful tool…. More effective than we give it credit for. Hundreds (if not thousands!) of studies confirm that our body responds to what we believe and what we tell ourselves…. Regardless if it’s that quiet mind chatter or if we outright talk to ourselves out loud…. our beliefs and our words (spoken or not) shape emotional and sensory perceptions. We truly ARE what we think we are.Ā
Western medicine acknowledges this as a fact, but rarely utilizes it as a way to jump start the healing process. Migraines, pain, arthritis, asthma, allergies, ADHD,Ā  high blood pressure, IBS,Ā  and depression are just a few dis-eases that have been shown to be responsiveĀ  to the placebo effect.
Placebo’s aren’t just in pill form either. A 2014 study in Oxford University looked at 53 trials that compared surgical intervention to placebo. In 74% (39 out of 53) of the trials, there was improvement in the placebo surgery.
The placebo effect works in multiple ways. In addition to the psychological aspect of ā€œwe are what we think we areā€, “believing” also plays an active role within certain neurotransmitter functions…. Including the dopamine, opioid, serotonin, and endocannabinoid (think CBD) systems. In essence, merely believing that you will feel better activates the body into helping you do just that.Ā
Our bodies WANT to heal, and perhaps our minds have just not been taught how to participate!Ā
So if a certain degree of healing can occur simply by teaching someone how to use their own tools available to them (the power of self ā€œprescribedā€ positive vibes….ie: the physics and biology of frequency!!),Ā  why aren’t more western medicine doctors AND insurance companies educating their patients about this?Ā  Ā Certainly proper eating habits, hydration, and exercise should be added to this list as well. #chalkituptoprofitĀ
The sad truth is this….. because we are an ā€œinstaā€ country, positivity, slow food, and exercise don’t generally fall into the ā€œinstaā€ bucket of western medicine. Positivity is cultivated by close friendships and/or family with a healthy portion of gratitude and kindness, and dare I say it… a faith that produces peace that passes all understanding.Ā  It is a learned character trait that ANYONE can master should they desire to do so.Ā
Western medicine should be our safety net, not a quick fix.Ā  Ā Ā
Mind over matter… matters.Ā Ā
šŸ‘‰What’s next? Part IV…. Body, how do you heal thyself? šŸ‘ˆ

Serendipity

Liz James · September 9, 2020 ·

Serendipity is one of my most favorite things!šŸ’–…..like a little gift from God. And it’s highly underrated!
About 5 days ago, I had aĀ  raging case of poison ivy. If you’ve ever had the poison ivy itch before, you know how bad it can be (especially when you are trying to sleep! 😭) I had put a bottle of Peppermint by my bed to use when the itching would wake me up at night (along with the rest of my nighttime oil stash).Ā

So, in the middle of the night, I grabbed what I thought was peppermint, and rolled it all over my arm. It took me a sleepy minute to realize I had accidentally grabbed Thieves (which I use on the bottom of my feet at night for immune support)…. a little spicy, but in a good way.

Here’s the shocker tho…… it worked! 😱…. and it stopped the itching and dried up my poison ivy quicker than anything else I’ve ever tried.šŸ™Œ… and only using it a couple times a day. I will definitely be adding this to my farmgirl arsenalšŸ‘©ā€šŸŒ¾ against this common skin irritant.

What’s something that you figured out by accident (serendipity) that rocks your world now?Ā

Uncover the Facts

Liz James · August 19, 2020 ·

Do you believe in the importance of free speech and unique thoughts and concepts? I do. It’s our varied brains God gave us that created all the “extras” in our world. Without them, we wouldn’t be enjoying electricity, airplanes, advanced medical procedures, books, art, and the like. #GodblessAmerica
I find it disturbing that critical thinking is now so discouraged that those with valid, science based facts are censored 😶  on mainstream social media. Mainstream media and ā€œrespectedā€ 3 letter government agencies are also complicit in either censoring, publishing unreliable data or outright twisting the truth. #whyaretheysuppressingthetruth
I’d like to share with you how I have come to vet those whom I hear, that which I read, and guard what (and whom) I watch, because it certainly has become more difficult.
I look at the context and the intention of what I read or view, and then I compare the contents to these two simple Biblical truths:
1. Is the purveyor relaying inconsistent or incongruous information? Does the information itself condone orĀ  promote chaos, hatred and/or fear? If so, Satan has a foothold somewhere within it.
2. Does the purveyor of the information utilize logic and promote peace, kindness or love , and faith? If so….then I don’t stop…. I dig a little deeper and look for both scientific and Biblical discourse that align (or disprove) the evidence that has been presented. If I cannot find additional solid logical scientific AND Biblical evidence that give further credence to what I’ve just ā€œconsumedā€ with my eyes or ears, I table the information for further evaluation.
3.Ā  And recently, I’ve come to add a 3rd vetting: Is the information highly censored by major social media platforms despite the First Amendment? If so….. THAT’S a red herring for truth more often than not.Ā
🐟Eat the fish and spit out the bones. 🐟
Which brings me to this very important study I came across a few days ago that has since been censored by Facebook.Ā
(I’d be happy to send you the link. PM me)
The details of the study are these:
*There most assuredly IS early treatment available for the ā€˜virus’.. Thousands of doctors who are honoring their oath to protect and serve the patients in their care know this, and they are being prosecuted, chastised, and threatened for prescribing ‘the treatment’.Ā
Why are we not rejoicing that there IS help without waiting inĀ  blind trust of an untested v@ ccine?Ā  Why is the truth being censored? Why do those of us who care enough to speak out have to mince our words as I am doing here?Ā Ā
*Early treatment is necessary, yet the majority of doctors who operate under fear for their licenses/livelihood decline to even suggest it to a patient, instead telling them to wait it out at home unless breathing becomes difficult. #thatsnogoodstewardshipofknowledge
*I talk to people everywhere I go.Ā  I’ve talked to people who had “it”…. And never knew there was a treatment…. Some of whom have suffered greatly because of that omission.
Ā I’ve talked to others who did ā€œthe treatmentā€ and had a super quick recovery.
Ā I’ve talked to still others who tested positive and never had a single symptom. (not that I trust the testing even one iota!)Ā Ā
*The “treatment” in question has been on the safest medication list (CDC generated info) for decades……and used as a common preventative and treatment for a certain killer mosquito borne disease. #malariaisatopkillerinourworldandworsethantherona
If you look it up on the CDC website, you’ll find that the CDC states…. ā€œ…. can be prescribed to adults AND CHILDREN of all ages. It can also be safely taken by PREGNANT and NURSING MOTHERS.ā€
šŸ‘†This statement is rare among pharmacologicals.šŸ‘† Real rare…… but this pharmacological is the synthetic alternative to quinine…. A naturally occurring compound found in the bark of the cinchona tree. Quinine has been used for at least 500 years (if not longer) as a viable naturally sourced medication used for respiratory infections and many other conditions. The synthetic “treatment” is cheap, effective, safe, and over the counter in many countries.
Applying logic……. why then, would the CDC claim that this medication is too dangerous for a “virus” patient? #thingsthatmakeyougohmmmmmĀ
A few factoids about this trial that caught my attention:
šŸ’ŠIt is a large trial: 1.8 Billion people in the treatment group, and 663 million in the control group.
šŸ’ŠCountries involved in the trial account for 31.2% of our world’s population.Ā
šŸ’ŠPeople with comorbidities were included in the trial: diabetes, obesity, hypertension, etc.Ā
šŸ’ŠOther possible factors affecting the outcome were also examined: population density, urbanization, testing level, intervention level, life expectancy etc.
The study shows, on MASSIVE scale, that the treatment group has a 77.4% lower chance of death than the control group.
Now, I don’t know about you……. But if a 20$ prescription cuts the odds of dying by more than 2/3rds (and of minimizing symptoms)…. Isn’t that worth taking note? And isn’t this worth fighting for, if you have someone who has tested positive and has symptoms? It certainly beats the odds of surviving a hospital stay compliments of the invisible enemy.
Again….. Logic. Peace. Love. Faith.Ā
ā¤ļøI tend towards trusting doctors who are willing to go up against the establishment to do the right thing. That’s LOVE in action. #theyaredoinghardthingsfortherightreason
ā¤ļøI tend towards resting in the PEACE of knowing there is treatment available if you go to a doctor who is willing to do the right thing. #itsafixablehealthconcern
ā¤ļøI tend to have FAITH in the immune system that God gave each one of us. I have nurtured my immune system over the years, and I have faith that it will continue to serve me well… and if it should fail, I know a good doctor who will give me what I need šŸ˜‰. (Please PM me if you want this same kind of faith in both God and your immune system). #lovepeaceandfaithinaction
ā¤ļøI tend towards believing that which is LOGICAL, not that which is inconsistent, inaccurate, and chaos driven. #logicoverlunaccy
Please friends, I know you have friends and family all over the world. If you hear of someone you know and care about who has tested positive and who has symptoms….. Please ask them if their doctor has provided them with a prescription for “the treatment”. It’s safe and it’s effective, and it should be illegal to withhold this information from someone who needs it.Ā

Wasp Treatment

Liz James · August 3, 2020 ·

It must be a bad season for stinging insects. A friend posted just a bit ago in another group about using Basil for a sting (with huge success!). I LOVE that God gave us so many quick remedies for problems such as these, and we are not limited to one solution! After you’ve used oils for awhile, you’ll have found that this is always the case. #multipurposetools

Yesterday, I got stung on the finger by a wasp. What you see in the pic was my 3 step remedy:
1. Cut an onion and rub the onion on the sting for 3-4 minutes. Do this as quickly as you can after the incident to neutralize the poison.
2. Apply YL lavender essential oil to the stung area. #notthecheapstuff
3. Put a tablespoon of baking soda in a shot glass and add a little vinegar (it will get foamy super fast, so do this over the sink). Then apply the mixture to your boo-boo stung area.
I was able to do this immediately after I got stung and had ZERO evidence of a sting 15 minutes after it happened.

Not much later, Charlie was putting hay out and he got stung 3 times. 😳 He didn’t get to apply this magical trio until about 15 minutes after it happened…. it did the trick for him too. No swelling. No pain.

Easy peasy!

Hello Paul Harvey

Liz James · July 5, 2020 ·

Paul Harvey…. do ya’ll remember him? He had the most amazing wisdom. I pretty much put him in the same category as John Maxwell…. a great communicator who was entertaining, informative, a source of positivity, and ultimately a teacher to all ages. #hisworksaretimeless
We used to listen to him every single morning as my Dad drove us to school. I re-heard this monologue of his today. Indeed, in the case of this one, I’ll go so far as to say his words were prophetic.
Take a listen. If you remember Mr. Harvey’s radio show, it will take you back as it did me. If you don’t know who he is, listen anyway. He’s like your best grandpa. Smart, witty, kind…. and able to tell you the truth without making you feel bad or inferior for not knowing it already.
And here’s……. the rest of the story…..
