Essential Oils

Young Living April Gifts 2025

Liz James · April 2, 2025 ·

April is here! Lordy….. time is flying in 2025! I don’t know about you guys, but March came in like a lion and it shows no signs of letting up for me. I’m super excited to see these freebies that focus on energy!
Β
Orange: It’s truly a “happy oil” (and so is Lushious Lemon!)…. remember, those citrus fragrances are really important natural “prompters” for elevating mood. You can subtly improve your mood at home or in the office by infusing the air with positive zesty vibes. We have the tools! (now use ’em! πŸ˜‰πŸ’ͺ#sunshineinabottle )
Β
Lushious Lemon: This isn’t just lemon πŸ‹πŸ‹πŸ‹ on steroids…. nope. It is a blend that makes everyone happy. (I know a couple of businesses that use it as their signature scent…. used to create both a positive memory and a pleasing environment). Remember too.. we are working with oils that have hidden super powers. While all those around you might just be appreciating the fresh clean aroma of diffused Lushious Lemon, you will know you are doing your part in your little corner of the world by helping to relax the mind and body while also creating an uncomfortable environment for certain strains of bad bacteria πŸ˜‰. Teamwork in a bottle!
Β
Super B! In a world of hectic-ness, our bodies can start to struggle a bit with keeping up, especially prone to fatigue are our adrenal glands and thyroid. While Super B works throughout the body filling the “B” needs, it’s especially helpful for those two little small but mighty gland pairs! (Pro Tip: Take in the morning or take in the early afternoon. For some people, taking late in the day may actually contribute to restless sleep).
Β
Finally, Don’t forget! ……Spring Launch (I hear that 4 new products will be released) is this Saturday! Keep an eye out for details πŸ˜‰. (I’m wondering what those 4 new products could be? πŸ€”πŸ’–πŸŒΏ)

Raindrop Roll-On

Liz James · March 21, 2025 ·

I’m curious….. have you ever had a full Raindrop before? πŸ™‚ (and if you have, what was your experience?). It’s one of the best utilization of oils for so many reasons, and I’ve personally seen some pretty amazing results in real time. I usually receive one for a “tuneup”, and am never disappointed πŸ˜΄πŸ˜‰.
If you’ve never had a Raindrop, start here with a Raindrop roll-on. It’s not as great as an actual Raindrop, but you might be surprised by the results. Roll on spine and on bottoms of feet (along the arch) . Be consistent.
You’ll never know if you don’t try.
xoxo. Happy Friday! ~ liz

February Gifts From 2025 Young Living

Liz James · February 1, 2025 ·

Happy February friends! February 1st finds me at a Faith and Medicine conference in Georgia, and it is a fascinating, beautiful, and educational experience…… many of the speakers are MD’s with profound stories and wisdom they have shared. As a Christian, I know that the ultimate source of Joy in my heart and Peace and Calming in my soul and Inner Beauty come from Jesus alone.
But I also know these things too…. even when we lean in to Jesus, we still have to “do the things” here on earth to help our body cope with what it does and doesn’t have in order to function properly…. sometimes it needs a little assist in the neurotransmitter dept, and in others, we need help in the physical (what we can see). All this to say, YL stands in the gap for us, and this month’s gifts with purchase reflect (from my perspective), some of the gifts we also get freely by leaning into Jesusβ€οΈπŸ™!
Joy
Peace and Calming
Inner Beauty (which glows outwardlyπŸ˜‰β€οΈ)
What a month of beautiful reminders!

Beating Illness Before It Beats You: How to Recover Fast with Natural Remedies

Liz James · January 29, 2025 ·

Yesterday was not a good day. By 5pm, I could tell that I had been hit with something bad. By 7pm, I had fever and chills and I ached all over… especially my head.
Tomorrow, I’m headed out of town for a conference in Georgia with Kim, and meeting Ellen once we get there. We are representing BBHB, and I’ve got no time for being sick.
It’s situations like this that underscore the importance of having all the things ready to go. If you don’t have it handy, it’s probably gonna be too late by the time you get it. Often a horrible awful extended time of illness can be avoided by hitting it hard as soon as you know something is amiss.
These were my big hitters over the last 24hrs. Inner Defense, Iver, Engystol (a homeopathic), and Thieves (and a long session of infrared therapy and prayer!).
I’m about 90% better this afternoon, and should be fired up and ready to go by tomorrow morning. Thank goodness!!! I know people who’ve had this nonsense for a couple of weeks. Acting quickly, I was able to kick it to the curb in 24hrs! πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

When You Can’t Carry a Horse or Puppy: The Magic of Smell Memories

Liz James · January 15, 2025 ·

“Smell memories”….. it’s such an important part of our lives (and one of the many reasons our oils are so important in helping mediate stress (both acute and chronic) and trauma related memories.
I will forever be calmed by the up close smell of a horse.
I will forever smile every time I have the luxury of inhaling the sweet smell of puppy breath.
(Do you see a trend here in my life πŸ˜‚πŸ’–?)
But I can’t always rely on a horse or a puppy to make themselves available to me when I need them πŸ€—.
About 11 years ago, I started using StressAway on the regular. While it now also serves the purpose of being a “smell memory” which brings comfort and calm, it also activates several other pieces of my brain to work in tandem with that smell memory.
Yesterday was a stressful day. It was also a long day surrounded by other people who were also feeling the stress. I was preoccupied with all the going’s on…. so much so, that I forgot to put my trusty StressAway on. Late in the afternoon, I smelled it on a nearby friend who had whipped hers out and put it on. I could literally feel my shoulders soften and neck relax within minutes.
Smell memories are so important. My friend became a walking diffuser for me in that moment!
What odors bring peace to you?
What oils have you come to rely on if you can’t “fit that horse or puppy” into your pocket?
xoxo~ liz
