Food Freedoms at Risk

I just finished reading a book called “A Good Life Interrupted” by Sam Girod, an Amish farmer and businessman. It’s about the recent 3+ year (of a 60+ year sentence) incarceration of an Amish grandfather who was convicted by the FDA of selling a chickweed salve.

This 6 minute video is another example of the attempted bullying of another Amish gentleman for selling raw milk.

Friends, if you don’t think our food and natural medicine freedoms are under accelerated assault, you are gravely mislead.

Recall that the 3rd leading cause of death in the USA is medical error, and the 5th leading cause of death is medication use….. and those numbers are rising!

Please. Learn your rights. Learn the Constitution. And learn to take care of yourself (God gave us plants for a purpose…. and they aren’t just for eating….. Revelation 22:2… and the leave of the tree were for the healing of nations. That’s not just figurative speech. That’s literal!) in a manner that honors the temple we live in …. our bodies!

I am an enormous proponent of raw milk because it was key in my personal healing of osteopenia and unhealthy cholesterol ratios 23 years ago. If you need research sources, please visit the Weston A Price Foundation to learn more about healing foods.

Understand that if food and health and healing modalities are 100% controlled outside our own personal abilities, we are slaves to that entity. The Constitution only protects us if we understand what it says and how it works. The more the Constitution gets twisted and trampled (because We the People haven’t defended it properly), the more our God Given rights get taken away from us.

This is more than just voting. This is about getting involved at the grassroots level, and stepping up and supporting our neighbors and friends (like this good fellow neighbor who arrived quickly to film for the Amish gentleman) when they do stand up against the establishment. Remember, it may not matter to you at this moment…. but when they come for you or your family, it will matter quite a lot. I so admire those who stand firmly in protection of personal rights and pray for them daily.

Knowing your rights and the Constitution is Good Medicine.

Raw Milk Dairy Needs Our Help

The following plea for assistance is from one of my most favorite organizations: Weston A Price Foundation. As a fellow farmer with dairy cows of our own, I can attest to the crazy stupid prices of farming this year. The drought down here is real, and it’s at least doubled the cost of doing business, if not even more than that.

If you can, please consider sending over a few bucks to help this farm out. Raw milk is hard to come by for the general public, and each and every raw milk dairy needs protection. “They” would like nothing more than to see all food types fully under “their” control. If you control the food, you’ll control the people.

Raw milk is healing. Raw milk is medicine for many. It was for me. It was key in reversing my own story of osteopenia and improving my cholesterol ratios back when I was 33. My bones at 55 are much healthier than they were 25 years ago thanks in large part to raw milk. That story is the reason we have dairy cows now, and the reason we are willing to do the hard things so we will always have personal access to raw milk. Not everyone is able to have their own dairy cows, so farms like Swan’s Dairy in Oklahoma stand in the gap. Please. Do consider helping them so they may continue to help others have access to quality food. Grocery store milk (homogenized and pasteurized) is a beast…. it has the power to take you down, unlike raw milk. I’m happy to talk for hours about this topic if you are interested.

OKLAHOMA’S OLDEST RAW MILK DAIRY NEEDS OUR HELP

Swan’s Dairy of Claremore, Oklahoma has been providing raw milk to Oklahomans since 1923. This family dairy has been a reliable source for raw milk, raw cream, raw cheese, grass-fed meats and locally prepared foods for decades and is a fixture in the natural food community.

Unfortunately, 2022 has been extremely trying for this dairy. For several months they were required to cease their raw milk sales during an investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry (ODAFF). They cooperated fully and waited, along with their loyal customers, for approval to resume sales of raw milk products as the months dragged on.

The dairy was finally permitted to resume raw milk sales this summer, but months of waiting for the ODAFF to resolve the matter took a hefty toll on the dairy’s ability to stay afloat. Each week that this ordeal continued equated to around a $5,000-$7,000 loss per week in sales. The dairy endured this loss for nearly eight months. This, along with inflation, drought in the region, and the expense of feed and hay, has become a real threat to the future of this dairy.

Happiest of birthdays to my best friend, my love, my life partner! 60 is a big number and it looks good on you. For many people, they see 60 as a negative place to be….. God is truly refining you in your years, and I’m thankful you have chosen to lean into His refining process and you look forward to what’s to come instead of backwards at what was. With age, comes wisdom, and wisdom trumps youth any day! You’re gonna rock the next era of life, and I’m looking forward to it with you!

If you know Charlie, you know he is a good man with a heart the size of Texas, a love of Jesus, an encourager extraordinaire, a guy’s guy, a lover of people, and holds a work ethic that just doesn’t quit. What’s a great memory you have of him?

It’s not free (they have to make a living too), but they could literally help save your life. Biblical Citizenship

Good morning friends! Terry Billups and I will be starting our 6th round of Biblical Citizenship Class

on Sunday, August 28th.

When: Sundays from 6:30-8:00pm August 28th thru Oct 16th! Start and finish before the holiday season!

Where: from the comfort of wherever you are located!

Why do I do this? (Good question…. I’m certainly busy enough already!) Though I was first drawn to stepping in to make a difference in our health and wellness world, it quickly became very clear that just like all diseases….. the terrain is more the problem than the actual germ. As a country, we have to get our “terrain” back on track again, and that can’t be done by ignoring the root cause and “pathology” of why we are where we are now.

Total class time investment is 16 hours…. an hour and a half weekly for 8 weeks. The return on your investment is priceless! (I promise! … you’ll never look at history, our country, or your civic responsibilities the same again. In other words, if you want to keep your head buried in the ever deepening sand, DON’T take this class
