December Young Living Gifts 2024

Liz James · December 1, 2024 ·

Is it just me or does it feel like we just ate turkey 🦃, went to bed and woke up and now it’s like days away from Christmas🎄? 2024 Just picked up some speed 🫣.
Stop. Breathe. Enjoy the Season. 🙏 And remember, life, all of this Holiday fullness/busyness…. it’s not about things, it’s about people, community, and togetherness. 💖
I’m sitting here reflecting on Young Living’s December choices for our gifts with purchase (and purpose!). Subtly I’m also noticing the bottles are red, white, and blue 🇺🇸. YES! Let’s DO make America Healthy Again 🙏!
So many casual conversations I have with people usually have an undercurrent of a health concern either for themselves or someone they love, and I feel certain the same is happening around you. It may only be a word or two in the conversation, but it’s there, and that means the concern is occupying their heart and mind.
We truly are the sickest we’ve ever been, and we are going to learn the truth of how sick we are as a nation in more revealing ways over the next year. I just learned this week that for every dollar 💰 spent on a negatively impactful food- beverage/cosmetic/household product, THREE 💰💰💰 dollars will be spent on the aftermath sometime in the future (Medical issues are the number one reason for bankruptcy).
December is often a time of reflection. I’m thankful for each of you helping other people grow in their health in small but impactful ways. You are making a difference in “your people’s” lives, planting seeds, cultivating growth, and helping people thrive (not just survive).
Instead of bringing a bottle of wine as a hostess gift, gift a diffuser with a bottle of essential oil (think about that person…. what do they need to improve their quality of life…. sleep, calming, joy, a decreased toxin load ?). (Remember, every oil blend has a deeper purpose than the name on the bottle may suggest. Neurotransmitters like oils 🤓😉. )
Bring in the Christmas season at your office with a diffuser filled with Christmas Spirit.… it’s a favorite and it will make any atmosphere festive (not to mention it has some great immune supportive properties too! 😉). That’s a stealth gift that keeps Grinchy germs at bay while boosting mood and spirit.
I was going to suggest using the Dry Skin Serum as a stocking stuffer, but then I looked at the ingredients 🧐🤓…. I may have to keep that one for myself. What a beautiful and healthful blend! In 11 (almost 12 years) of Young Living, this is one I’ve never tried myself…. Merry Christmas to me! 🥰
Happy December Friends! Enjoy the season, and know that you are making a difference!
xoxo~ liz
PS: if you are not yet part of the Young Living community of health advocates, but would like to be….. and aren’t sure where or how to start, message me. I’d be honored to personally help you find your best way forward. 🙏 #healthisthebestgiftofall

October 2024 Young Living Gifts

Liz James · October 1, 2024 ·

October is here!….. and you know what that means 🥸Sugar and germ sharing disguised as Holidays! Don’t say I didn’t warn ya…… Increased sugar intake combined with an increase in travel, lots of “peopling”, and a packed schedule (exposure to new regional bacteria your body may not be accustomed to, added stress which decreases the immune system, and spending more time indoors with recycled air) are all factors known for compromising the immune system.
Help keep your immune system healthy compliments of Young Living with the gifts with purchase this month! Here’s how I use these tools both offensively and defensively:
Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t recognize quickly enough when we’ve allowed ourselves to get run down (and haven’t done mediation to keep ourselves healthy despite the added burdens life has thrown at us). Raven is for those times when my respiratory system has taken a hit. It’s especially helpful supporting lung function when under the weather.
One of my “non negotiables” in my daily routine includes taking a capsule of oils every morning. One of the oils in that capsule is Longevity. When I first learned of the benefits of Longevity, AND knowing the assault our body is under from all the toxins and DNA damaging influences in our environment, I knew that this is one oil I would never do without. Yes, Longevity comes in capsule form (premade), but I save a little bit of money by making my own and also, this way, I make my own “designer” capsule with the other oils I know my body benefits from.
Immugummies is a relatively new chewable product that is a fun tasty way to help support ….. the immune system AND the respiratory system. It’s loaded with elderberry (we all know the benefits of elderberry, right?) and other immune supportive natural ingredients. In a perfect world, these tasty treats would be handed out for Halloween instead of candy!
I’m curious….. have you tried all 3 of these products in your time with Young Living?
Stay healthy friends! We have the tools….. we just have to USE them. xoxo~ liz

Insulin Resistance – part 3

Liz James · November 30, 2023 ·

Cinnamon is one of the oldest and most popular spices, as it has historical value both in flavoring and as a “medicinal” spice. We in the Young Living world often think of the essential oil blend Thieves when cinnamon comes to mind! (If you don’t already incorporate Thieves in your life, you are missing out on a fantastic health and wellness tool….. and that includes the benefits of Thieves Household Cleaner!)
You’ve heard my views here on the injectable medications Ozempic/ Wegovy / semaglutide . Nearly all medication originates from a natural form (plant, animal, mineral, etc), which man attempts (poorly) to replicate. Man will never be able to replicate the work that God has done for us….. no matter how hard he tries. 😉One of the ways these medications work for weight loss is the extreme slowing of stomach emptying time (even to the point of acquiring a new painful digestive dysfunctional state called gastroparesis that often is not reversible when discontinuing the drug ).

Perhaps “they” attempted to model the effects of cinnamon on the body when these products were created. 🧐🤔
Adding cinnamon to your daily regimen does so much more than support the immune system ( thank you, Thieves!). Take a look at this study, ” Effects of cinnamon on postprandial blood glucose, gastric emptying, and satiety in healthy subjects.” https://www.sciencedirect.com/…/pii/S0002916523281113…

According to this study👆,
👉cinnamon appears to reduce “after eating” blood glucose levels,
👉 because of slowed gastric emptying…. (but again…. God is in the details…. not slow enough to cause problems).

That study above was smaller….. so if you are looking for a meta-analysis (ie: a study of studies.) Here’s one that looks at the results of 8 separate studies focusing on fasting blood sugar. ” Cinnamon intake lowers fasting blood glucose: a meta-analysis”. This study of studies suggests that cinnamon has been shown to improve (ie support the body’s efforts) to respond to insulin. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21480806/

Here’s another one….. “Cinnamon use in type 2 diabetes: an updated systematic review and meta-analysis” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24019277/

If you are curious about learning more, there are over 350 studies related to cinnamon and blood glucose in pubmed.gov, and if you want a cliff notes version of all the goodness cinnamon offers… including some great recipes, here’s a link for you: https://1602257.lifestepseo.com/…/cinnamon-bark-spotlight

PS: to keep the FDA happy, I should also give the obligatory disclaimer….. despite the plethora of research out there… “The FDA has not evaluated these statements, and such evidence should not be construed as diagnosing, treating, curing, or preventing any disease. “
