Turmeric (curcumin) for the lesser known wins too!

 

There are currently zero pharmaceutical interventions which effectively slow or reverse age-related cerebrovascular pathologies (nobody’s got time for cognitive decline or straight up brain compromise due to silent brain inflammation!). Yes, I know there are drugs “for” these things, but if you read the studies, these pharma products don’t reverse (or even slow down) the inevitable process despite their advertising claims.

 

Curcumin has some really interesting properties for brain health…. a quick review in some of my most favorite scientific stomping grounds (ie: Pubmed, Cochrane library, and Wiley online library) reveals dozens and dozens of studies on the neuroprotective properties of turmeric, both proactively and “cleaning up the mess” action (which is helpful for my brain as I do my “inside” work. Granted, my inside job is probably a little safer sometimes than my farmgirl work! I’ve got lots to do and have no time for neuroinflammation….. now or later!)

PS: Bonus points for YL’s Golden Turmeric… it is formulated in such a way that it’s 24x more bioavailable than standard turmeric extract. A little goes a long way!
