Essential Oils

Oils of Ancient Scripture-Cypress

Liz James · March 28, 2024 ·

Oils of Ancient Scripture: Cypress
Genesis 6:14 “So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.”
Isaiah 44:14 “He cut down cedars, or perhaps took a cypress or oak. He let it grow among the trees of the forest or planted a pine, and the rain made it grow.”
Cypress is one of those oils that might be easily overlooked. To me, it has an aroma similar (but milder) to our friend Frank. I appreciate it for a few reasons. Like all tree oils, it is very grounding (relaxing). Studies have proven that this oil is relaxing and calming!
It is also a really important oil to consider when you want to support healthy circulation. (Nobody benefits from stagnant, slow-moving blood 😉… in fact, stagnant blood can get downright dangerous). You can pretty safely assume cypress is a key oil in supporting overall health knowing that it’s one of the 9 oils used in the Raindrop Technique.
Cypress has been around for eons…. probably since the beginning of time😁! Historically, the wood was used to build ships and houses of great strength and durability.
FUN FACTS:
The doors of St. Peter’s Cathedral are 1200 years old and are made out of cypress. They show no sign of aging 😮.
The island of Cyprus was named for this tree (cypress).
Historically, cypress essential oil was used by the ancients to support healthy wound healing, and arthritis, support healthy lung function, scar tissue reduction, alleviate cramps, and relieve muscle soreness. Cypress was also used to help flush toxins out of the body.
This is an interesting study about aromatherapy massage’s immunological and psychological benefits. Fancy that…. cypress is one of the oils discussed 😉. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1142199/
When was the last time you had a Raindrop Technique done? If you’ve never had one…. would you like one😍? Would you like to learn how to give one?….. Why receiving (and giving!) one is so very important for overall health. I’d love to teach you, or help hook you up with someone who can in your neck of the woods! ….. drop a comment and let me know! If you’ve got an amazing Raindrop story to share, I’d love to hear it 💖.
PS: if you’d like to learn more about Oils of Ancient Scripture (there are many mentioned in the Bible), let’s chat. God truly did give us all we need in the garden.

Toolkit for Stings

Liz James · February 26, 2024 ·

This is the 4th time I’ve been stung by one of these Texas scorpions 🦂in the last 25 years.
This time: Twice, in rapid succession on the instep of my right foot. Gah!!! 😖😥
However, it’s the first sting in the last 11 years …. and since that last zinger, I’ve acquired skills💪 and tools ⚒️that I use confidently to manage the rottenness of getting stung.
A quick application of Lavender, a layer of Purification, and a little detox Charcoal mask over the sting.
Pretty much almost immediate and complete relief (these stings can smart for a long time)
What’s in your toolkit for bites and stings?

Great Love and Frequency

Liz James · February 14, 2024 ·

Good morning friends!
Happy Valentine’s Day…. make it what you will and what you want it to be, but above all else, embrace the act of love (there are at least 7 different kinds!)
We are all different and we all have different attitudes and views of February 14th based upon our individual life history. Somehow, the act of love got commercialized a looooong time ago and was pinned to the 14th of February ….. I mean, shouldn’t we be celebrating our ability and desire to love one another every day in some form or another?
“…. but the greatest of these is love” ( I Cor 13:13 )
Find your people and let them know somehow/ some way that they matter. That they are loved. That they are important to you. You just never know whose life you will alter by doing so. Every day.
Love is one of the highest-frequency emotions we can have, and WHO doesn’t want high-frequency embodiment? ( Vibrational frequency isn’t woo woo… it’s science. Modern medicine uses vibrational frequencies as diagnostic tools such as EEG’s and EKG’s.) A high vibrational frequency is key to being healthy, and it just feels darn good 🤩.
Find your best way to love one another. Pair that care with high-frequency oils such as Idaho Blue Spruce, Rose, Helichrysum, Sandalwood, Frankincense, and Lavender. There are more…. lots more! Every essential oil (which has been treated properly during harvesting and distillation) has the power to lift our body’s frequency, especially when paired with positive emotions. See how easy that is?
There’s enough love (and different types of love) for everyone…. every single day of the year:
💖Eros (passionate love)
💖Philia (friendship love)
💖Storge (familial love)
💖Agape (a love like God loves…. part of one’s character and a love that is undeserved, gracious, and sacrificial)
💖Ludus (playful uncommitted, undemanding, and uncomplicated type of love)
💖Pragma (practical love)
💖Philautia (self-love…. having self-worth)
Every one of us is worthy of giving and receiving love.
I love you! ~ liz

Young Living’s Love Gifts for February

Liz James · February 1, 2024 ·

Happy February 💖friends! Yes, it’s the “month of love”….. in other words, it’s a month of high frequency emotions! And “the greatest of these is love” , right? (I Cor 13:13).

Did you know there are 7 different kinds of love? One of those is “philia” love…. friendship or shared goodwill, and Young Living certainly extends that to us each month with all the freebies we are offered. Take a look at what what will come with your qualifying order purchase 💕:

Deep Relief is one of my most favorite muscle 💪and stress helpers! Make your own 10ml roller bottle (x2) with this freebie and multiply your gift….. Find a friend or loved one who has some achy muscles and share the love with them!

Bergamot. Have you smelled it and used it? It has been studied for its properties that support healthy cortisol levels, allowing the body to rest and relax. Give it a try…. you might just fall in love with this beauty is as beauty does!

Any day can be Valentines Day with Sensation oil blend! It smells amazing in a diffuser, when applied to a neck or wrists as a perfume, or when added to some epsom salts for a nice hot bath. Make your own massage oil with Sensation (There won’t be any regrets! 😉)….. Add about 10 drops to coconut oil, and you’ve just created a love potion💘 with benefits! (PS: this is a VIP oil you’ll be hearing more about… along with some others over the next few weeks here!)

Spa day can be any day with the Charcoal Mask. Detoxifying skin and cleaning pores is something both men and women should be doing at least occasionally. The Charcoal Mask also exfoliates while detoxifying and cleaning! (Pro Tip: if you have a bug bite or itchy area, try applying a little dab of the mask to help pull toxins out and speed up the healing process). I think you’ll love the little peppermint fresh tingle that comes along with using it.

Did you know that toxins in our body affect our frequency, which ultimately also affects our emotions? DetoxZyme is a blend of enzymes and essential oils strategically formulated to promote detoxification and support normal digestive function. Keep yourself (or someone you love) healthy, happy and loved from the inside out!

These are all AMAZING health and wellness tools we (Charlie and I) keep in our “toolkit” and I look forward to restocking our shelves!

Hugs and love to each one of you this February, and remember….. nobody loves you more than Jesus! ~ liz

Peppermint to Digestive Rescue

Liz James · January 5, 2024 ·

Have you noticed when you go to many restaurants, they will either give you a peppermint ❤️🤍❤️ with your receipt or will have a bowl of peppermints for you to take from as you are leaving after a meal?
Years ago, I used to assume that those peppermints were either to freshen postprandial breath or to act as a light “sweet” to end the meal. While those little red and white striped disks of sweetness do achieve both, there’s more to the story.🤓 Nowadays, those peppermints are usually synthetically flavored….. But a long time ago, peppermint was the real deal, flavored with peppermint oil that came from a plant🌿, and the candy was full of purpose.
Peppermint (from the plant) 🌿has been known to be digestion-supportive for eons. Its use dates back to ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, and has been a “go-to” herb since biblical times for digestive woes.
From studies found on pubmed.gov and elsewhere, it would appear that peppermint 🌿supports digestion by encouraging bile flow into the small intestine where it promotes healthy digestion by acting in a supportive role in breaking down fats more quickly. The menthol in peppermint🌿 has a strong anti-spasmodic effect which may help calm the action of the muscles within the gut. This allows “things” (ahem… gas and stools) to be encouraged to pass more readily.
Note that peppermint🌿 is best for lower GI while spearmint 🌿is preferred for upper GI support. 😉
I’ll include some interesting studies about peppermint🌿 in the comments. I know many many people who have had life-changing gut health experiences simply by incorporating peppermint (real peppermint!) into their routine.
Have you used peppermint as a digestive aid?I know I have, and I frequently flavor my water with a drop or two!
I’m also thankful that peppermint 🌿is a Young Living freebie this month with a qualifying purchase! 🥰
