Essential Oils

Smelling Goodness

Liz James · July 28, 2022 ·

Do not underestimate the power of an odor to trigger a good (or bad) memory!
(…..and who knew that smelling the scent of a rose while learning and at night before a test boosts test taking performance! 🤓🌹)

What are you sniffing today that keeps you grounded and happy? 🤗 For me, happiness smells like horse and cow manure (I know!), snickerdoodles, and Young Living’s essential oil blend Sacred Mountain.

Have a thought filled Thursday friends!
xoxo~ liz

( link to Sacred Mountain… or ask to smell it next time you see me in person…. I’m likely wearing it or carrying it! https://www.youngliving.com/…/sacred-mountain-essential… )

Epoch Times Mentions Young Living

Liz James · May 21, 2022 ·

Just stepped inside after a couple hours of early morning farm chores to eat breakfast (yogurt, blueberries, and YL Granola😋), and read last week’s Epoch Times newspaper. This is such a fantastic hardcopy news source! We’ve been subscribers for about 4 years now.  Its weekly arrival is always something I look forward to for a variety of reasons. 🙏🇺🇸🤓❤

This particular issue has a beautiful article on essential oils, and much to my ❤❤❤, Young Living was mentioned 🌱❤🙌.

Before there was Big Pharma, there were plants friends. Big Pharma may attempt to duplicate that which is created by God. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…. but imitation is still imitation😉 and always falls short.

As I always say, there is a time and place for Big Pharma (ex: emergent care). However, the majority of the time, lifestyle changes /choices along with the gifts God has placed on earth for our use, health, and enjoyment work wonderfully well.

If you haven’t explored what Young Living has to offer for your particular situation, ask someone who has walked the walk before you. If you don’t have someone in your circle, book a call with me (complimentary), and I’ll help you discover your best place to start according to your personal health story.

xoxo~ liz

History of Sacred Frankincense

Liz James · May 10, 2022 ·

History tells us our story. I love when Biblical truths line up with my day to day living. Sacred Frankincense is just a little more sacred to me after reading Dr. Cole Woolley’s post. Sacred Frank is part of my DIY face serum recipe. I have always felt a kindred spirit with Noah and his wife🙏🥰. Our farm is named Ararat Acres (named after the mountain the ark came to rest upon after the flood, and where all the animals were released. ) It felt so right when we named our farm 27 years ago, and it still does.🙌

Sacred Frank…. do some research on this VIP oil and then don’t be afraid to use it! It doesn’t work in its beautiful ways if it sits in a bottle on the shelf!

What Sacred Frankincense Means to Me – Grandsons of Noah
You may be a bit surprised about the story I tell today. The people who harvest Sacred Frankincense are pure descendants of the grandsons of Noah.
Ali Ahmed Al-Shahri documented in his book “The Language of Aad” regarding the tribal origins of the Sacred Frankincense oleogum-resin harvesters. Noah’s son Shem had a 2nd great grandson name Joktan (Noah-Shem-Arphaxad-Shelah-Eber-Joktan). Joktan had 12 sons who settled the perimeter of the Arabian Peninsula (present day Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates) along the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf.
Ali Ahmed has documented that three of Joktan’s sons settled in present day Oman in the Dhofar Mountains surrounding Salalah, Oman. These 3 tribes: Uzal, Ophir and Jerah and their children’s subtribes are stewards over the Dhofar Mountains and harvesting Sacred Frankincense. They don’t own the land, but their right to farm, harvest frankincense, and graze animals is dependent on tribal lineage.
It is thought that tribal boundaries are marked by tetralith markers – acting as tribal agreements for land boundaries. I have photographed many of these ancient tetraliths that are found in the high deserts where only wind and sand slowly deteriorate them.
These three tribes of Joktan make up present-day Shahra and Mahra language tribes in Western Oman and adjoining Eastern Yemen. These are the harvesters of Sacred Frankincense for the past 5000 years.
Ali Ahmed Al Shahri wrote a book “The Language of Aad”. Aad was a 1st Great Grandson of Noah (Noah-Shem-Aram-Uz-Aad).

Purity Matters in DIY Body Scrubs

Liz James · October 8, 2021 ·

I was only a little surprised to see this amazing list of DIY body scrubs on my favorite protein bar company’s blog.  Have ya’ll tried Perfect Bars? 😋They are AMAAAAAZING…. and they have a pretty impressive ingredient list (as well as being NonGMO, gluten free, and low Glycemic Index)

As always, if you want maximum benefit when doing something good for yourself (like a Perfect Bar or a DIY body scrub), choose quality ingredients.

I only use Young Living essential oils for a variety of reasons:
1. I trust Young Living and have been to 5 of their farms. Show me any company that will open up their production facility/farm to the public on nearly any given day, and you’ll have my full attention.

2. If I’m going to ask an oil to “do ” something, I’m going to darn sure make sure it’s high quality. You know that saying….. “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”? The same hold true with oils. You will get what you pay for. I use my oils in ways that yield remarkable results….. but only because high quality tools make all the difference.

3. Have you ever researched what it takes to keep the “active” part of an oil “active” in the distillation process? I was like … and …and😍 about 8 years ago when I  went down that rabbit hole for the first time. There is an ENORMOUS difference in what an essential oil is capable of doing if it has been grown free of harsh chemicals and fertilizers in untainted soil,  harvested at the right time of day and year, distilled at the right temperature, pressure, and time, with the right equipment (stainless steel and glass) versus something produced under dubious conditions possibly mixed with who knows what.

4. If you are 👩‍⚕️ like me, you’ll appreciate these books as a great place to start learning:
📚 Aromatherapy for Health Professionals (by Price)
📚 Clinical Aromatherapy (by Jane Buckle) – often used as a text book for aromatherapy certification for nurses.
📚 Evidence Based Essential Oil Therapy (by Johnson)
(It’s amazing how much of this information they scrub or bury on the internet. That’s what happens when something works really well for our health but doesn’t  contribute to the Medical Industrial Complex wealth. )

5. Personal Empowerment. Once the skills our great grandparents (and beyond) have been revived, there is no turning your back on the knowledge now in place. Education is my jam and I love helping others find their way.

If you’re curious, and want to know more, there is no time like the present to learn. Let’s chat.
