Essential Oils

Covid Virus 101.1

Liz James · May 30, 2020 ·

😷 Let’s get some info out here on the table… like it or not, everyone is a “prepper” to one degree or another. Unless, of course, you fly by the seat of your pants in every aspect of life.
❓Do you make sure you have gas in your car before going on a trip…… ✅
❓Do you keep food in your home for your next meal……✅
❓Have you run out recently and bought 3x’s as much toilet paper as you normally buy?
……..any of these things would mean that you, somewhere in your brain, have a bit of preparedness built into your psyche.
#wealldo

👉Here’s the thing tho…. people, for whatever reason, think about gas, food, and toilet paper before their own health. And yet… if you don’t have your health…. AND you don’t have the things needed to remain healthy handy…… does anything else really matter?

👉Secondly…. Emotions….. If you run around thinking you’re going to catch something, your body is already accepting the advice that it’s going to…. and your immune system starts dropping (I know…. Crazy but true)….. Yet hundreds (if not thousands!) of studies show that believing something will happen (good or bad) definitely affects the outcome, even with your health…. This information is designed to put you in the right place emotionally. Pull on your oxygen mask and help yourself so you can help others! #thinkpositively

The emotion “fear” is addressed over 500 times in the Bible. We are told not to have a spirit of fear or timidity but of love and strength. If you are a believer, as I am…. I take our responsibility to “fear not” very seriously. #ifGodiswithuswhocanbeagainstus

👉When preparing what you need for your health, this is NOT the time to cut corners. (that would be like handing out flimsy paper plates from the Dollar store when you’re about to ask that plate to hold Thanksgiving🍗 dinner fixin’s…. Inadequate preparation could backfire on you if you are asking an inadequate product to do something it was never designed to do…. make sure what you are buying will work well under pressure. #KEYPOINT

👉 You’ll hear me refer to essential oils…. I only use Young Living…. precisely for the 🍗 dinner reason above. 👆 You’ll hear me mention some supplements. Unless otherwise stated… only YL. There are a few places where YL doesn’t yet stand in the gap, and so I’ve researched and come up with some brands that I trust and use. Never pick/use a synthetically sourced supplement…. It’s a flimsy paper plate.

👉 And finally, knowledge itself really doesn’t matter IF IT’S NOT APPLIED…… so USE the knowledge you glean from this.

Now….. let’s move on to some facts.

History of Quarantine

Liz James · May 29, 2020 ·

I love a good history lesson!…. I knew the story of Thieves, but not the origin of the word quarantine.

Little trivia of the day: Did you ever think about why quarantine is called quarantine?

This goes back to Italy in the 14th Century when they were fighting another epidemic/pandemic, the black death (bubonic plague). Yes, that is when the essential oil blend called the Marseilles water came up in history. That led to the development of the so important Thieves products by Young Living.

But at that time Venice was flourishing as a sea port and the Venetians decided to keep arriving ships out of their ports for 40 days when to came from areas impacted by the plague. Quaranta giorni in Italian means 40 days and hence the name quarantine. Now you know more than most others.

Hummus

Liz James · May 16, 2020 ·

There’s hummus among us! I love me some good hummus, and y’all…. fresh made is soooooo much better than the store bought stuff! Give those chickpeas a whirl….

That’s what the world needs these days……. whirled peas 😉.

Enjoy your weekend!

Itovi

Liz James · April 24, 2020 ·

I’m curious about a few things…….
1.Have you ever had an Itovi scan? If so, how often do you get them?
2.Do you understand the information that the Itovi scan relays?
3. Do you own an Itovi scanner? And if so, where do you live?
Itovi updated their app awhile back, and the graphic attached is an easy to read explanation of what the new scanned info looks like . I realized when I was looking at it that I was misinterpreting the scan results slightly. I hope it helps someone else too!

Quarantina

Liz James · April 16, 2020 ·

In this strange world we’re currently living in, I don’t care if you are an introvert or an extrovert, there’s something to be said for individual freedom. I’m missing mine, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that sentiment!

Charlie (my husband) is an extrovert now working predominately from home… he’s missing his social time that comes with working in a group office.

I am an introvert and working predominately at home (except when I’m wearing my white coat) is my jam and comfort zone.

We are all adapting aren’t we?

Don’t forget to use your tools and oil up! … remember, specific oil blends do help to:

👉 drive energy up 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ …..or down 😴

👉 create sunny 🌞 dispositions when your housemates might feel stormy.

👉 help brains function when they’d rather be in bed

Even as adults… there are times we’d rather just crawl into bed and hug our blankies. And that’s ok…. just don’t make a habit of it! 😘 This is a time of stillness in our lives we will likely never experience again together.

Reflect. Reset. Rejuvenate. Recover. Renew.
You’ve got this!

xoxo~ liz
