Cholesterol: Friend, Not Foe โ€“ The Truth About Inflammation and Health

Liz James · February 20, 2025 ·

Seriously… If we’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that whatever is villainized is likely something that is good for you. Cholesterol is one of those things. (Cholesterol is not the problem….. INFLAMMATION is the problem). We suffer when cholesterol is too low….. every cell in our body needs cholesterol…. our brain needs cholesterol (people who have low cholesterol are the ones that ultimately tend to end up in dementia units) …. our sex hormones need cholesterol. You’ve heard me talk about this sooooo many times.
This is a new one for me tho: Cholesterol may be helpful in boosting cancer fighting abilities? I’m not surprised by this (especially in light of how every cell needs cholesterol to function well).
This doesn’t mean you should run out and eat junk food. Remember sugar and processed foods are inflammatory, as are seed oils (which the restaurant industry unfortunately loves to use).
Eat like God intended us to eat….. whole foods!

From Blindness to 20/20: My Auntโ€™s Incredible Eye Health Journey! ๐Ÿ‘€โค๏ธ

Liz James · February 19, 2025 ·

Y’all, I’d like to introduce you to my precious Aunt and tell you about our phone call yesterday.
We have a strong family history of an eye disease called macular degeneration. My grandmother (her mom) went blind from it about 10 years before she passed away. Both my Mom and my Aunt have it, and have for several years. My Aunt was diagnosed a few years ago with cataracts on top of the macular degeneration. This apparently compounds things and can make cataracts surgery a little more complicated. My Aunt waited until she was almost completely blind before finally agreeing to the cataract surgery (they did each eye separately, about 6 weeks apart)
About 3 or 4 years ago, I encouraged my Aunt to start taking NingXia Red and Illumineyes daily in an effort to help salvage whatever we could on her eyes. She has been so faithful in taking both daily……
Well!!!!! She has been telling me how much better she is seeing after her cataract surgeries, and I totally imagine that she was, but I had no idea…. yesterday she called me after her Dr’s appointment. Not only did the doctor tell her she has 20/20 vision, but they also can find no evidence of the Macular Degeneration! (This is largely considered an incurable eye disease).
They asked her to take the vision test twice๐Ÿ˜‰…. and then she told them she drinks a red drink ๐Ÿ˜‰ and takes a red pill to help with her eyesight.
Love your peepers friends!

How To Age Well

Liz James · February 10, 2025 ·

Interesting article on aging in Epoch Times this week……a 2024 study notes that around age 44 and again around age 60, the “wheels on the bus” may start to get a little wobbly and then start falling off๐Ÿฅด.
The good news is that this doesn’t have to happen if we take care of ourselves preemptively and heed the wobbly wheel warning.
I’m loving all 5 suggestions, but especially #3! Love my #NingXiaRed every day since 2013. โค๏ธ
Do you NingXia too?
