Keep Your Pets Safe

Liz James · March 21, 2024 ·

Raise your hand 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️if you share your home with a critter or two (or roughly 55 in our case 🤗🥰). According to statistics, 66% of us do….. and we love ’em. Pet families spend over $19 BILLION dollars a year in the USA on veterinary care (not including supplements, food, collars, etc). 😳
March is Pet Poison Prevention Month and while we’re talking about spring cleaning, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about pets. Yes, they need cleaning themselves on occasion, but equally important….. it’s our job, as the ones who keep them well and healthy….to keep toxins out of their space as much as is “humanly” possible.
According to the American Animal Hospital Association and the ASPCA, these are some of the biggest chemical culprits for bringing harm to animals 👇.
🛑medications
🛑cleaning products
🛑 personal care products
🛑fragrance products
🛑 detergent and detergent “pods”
There are more (take a look at the graphic), but I bring these up to give you a 🙌🙌🙌 for probably already having fixed these issues in your own home and keeping your fur babies safer in the process. Go you!
Animals are often “the canary in the coalmine”. Evidence of toxin overload often affects them on a scale greater than in humans.
Take Georgie for instance. Georgie is our now adult opossum we rescued when she was just an itty bitty thing (her mama had died). Because she was so imprinted on us (she came to be with us before her eyes were open), she was not releasable, and she lives with us as though she is a house cat. Opossums do not live long. A geriatric opossum is over 2 years old. Georgie is over 2 years old now, and doing quite well. The reason opossums do not live long (in addition to getting hit by cars😢) is that they are super sensitive to chemicals…. even more so than cats. Georgie eats all organic human-grade food (I shop at Trader Joe’s and Local Yocal for her🤪), and has had almost zero exposure to chemicals of any kind. The same can be said for our cats🐱, our dogs🐶, our dairy cows🐮, horses🐴, and chickens🐔. Their toxin load is extremely low.
❤️If you happen to still be using traditional toxic cleaners, give Thieves Household Cleaner a try!
❤️mainstream personal care products? Young Living has a treasure chest of healthy alternatives!
❤️plug-ins or other fake fragrances? Get that diffuser out and use it! Young Living oils are safe for use around all types of animals. We even use oils to help them recover from wounds and illnesses, and rarely do we spend $$$$$$ at the vet anymore. We have saved thousands of dollars over the years by using resources like “The Animal Desk Reference” to solve animal health concerns. Remember that 19BILLION dollars a year the USA spends on veterinary care? So thankful Charlie and I contribute minimally to that number every year!
❤️ Detergents and “pods”? Thieves Laundry Soap is an excellent alternative (it’s concentrated so either don’t use but just a little bit, or use one of the recipes on H3 to make your own out of non-toxic ingredients).
Cleaning up your home without adding toxins to your pet’s life only makes sense (and it saves money in so many ways). They are worth it!
What’s one thing you have replaced that might have been shortening your pet’s lifespan by continual “small dose” exposure?
xoxo~ liz
If you are new to the concept of detoxing your home, here’s a list to get yourself started, and let’s chat…. I’m here to help you lower your toxin load too! https://bit.ly/ThievesHouseholdCleaningBundle

Big Mission Accomplished

Liz James · March 18, 2024 ·

In May of 2021, God asked me to do something big. Really big. Bigger than anything I could ever accomplish with a team of 8, much less alone. And yet we did, against all “normal” odds … launching a not-for-profit cooperative blood matching mission nationwide in June 2023. www.blessedbyhisblood.com is the result.
BBHB is up and running, and matches are being made. God knew we were going to need it. 😢

Tapeworms Infestation Signs

Liz James · March 14, 2024 ·

Over in my team education group, we’re having a lively discussion about parasites and parasite cleanses. Have you ever done one? …. Considered doing one? …… Want to do one🙋‍♀️? ……. or would you rather not even think about this topic 😳😱🫣?
The USA is one of the “wormiest”🪱 countries in the world because we generally tend to believe we’re too clean to have parasites. Hold that thought! 🧐
According to Dr. Frank Nova, Chief of the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases at the NIH, “In terms of numbers, there are more parasitic infections acquired in the US than in Africa.”
Here’s an eye-opening video about a few of the more common species and what they can do in the body: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irjsEc_J4Zk&list=WL&index=2
Western medicine is slow to silent on the topic of parasites, to the extreme detriment of our health. #Knowbetterdobetterbebetter #gaincontrolofyourhealthwithknowledge #hidingyoureyesdoesntmakethesituationgoaway

Learn the Risks Before Vaccinating Your Pets

Liz James · March 8, 2024 ·

The problem isn’t just in humans….. https://animalwellnessmagazine.com/vaccinosis/ . Know the risk versus benefit before assuming something that is recommended is also safe.

Clean Your Liver

Liz James · March 6, 2024 ·

There’s doing “a thing” and then there’s a lifestyle😉.
Have you ever cleaned and organized your house, organized a junk drawer or closet, only to find it completely unorganized and overflowing (AGAIN 🥴!) …..in a matter of weeks? It feels very defeating, doesn’t it?
What if you cleaned and decluttered your house, but instead just moved all the debris, junk, and extra stuff in your bedroom instead of giving it to Goodwill or sending it to the trash heap?
…. or put it all in your bathtub and shower?
….. or put it all in the kitchen?
You get the point here by now I’m sure.
Cleanses for the body are no different. If you aren’t eliminating the junk and debris (kicking it to the curb), it’s just being relocated within the, and that can cause unpleasant issues.
No cleanse should be attempted until your detox pathways are ready to receive new junk, and the liver (especially the liver!) feels loved and supported. The liver does about 500 things for us (no joke!), so if it’s not able to function properly, you can imagine the trickle-down effect elsewhere in the body.
Detoxzyme was a YL freebie last month and this is a great time to put it to good use. In addition to helping us better digest foods we eat, it also helps in opening the gallbladder duct and cleansing the liver…. bonus points for creating an inhospitable environment for candida, yeast, and parasites. (As we clean house, we don’t want to be encouraging messing it all up again…. right? )
JuvaTone probably isn’t on your daily favorite list. Lovin’ on the liver often gets overlooked (kinda like how often do you do a deep cleaning of the inside of your icky garbage can? 🤢). Juvatone supports healthy liver function, and it also helps with the elimination of that which needs kicking to the curb.
Clues your Liver might need some lovin’ especially if you are thinking about a cleanse in your future:
🛑poop that is a weird color (lighter or darker than normal)
🛑Constipation: if you aren’t having at least one bowel movement a day, you can most assuredly assume your liver is stressed. Start here! ….. get your bowels moving friend. I have LOTS of information in previous posts on how to improve bowel performance.
🛑rashes, acne, and other skin conditions
🛑heartburn/reflux
🛑physical or mental fatigue
🛑headaches
🛑digestive disturbances
A healthy lifestyle means you have a system in place to help you both reach and keep your goals. Use your tools! I don’t ever do any sort of cleansing without first giving my liver VIP TLC beforehand.
xoxo~ liz
PS: Have you ever done a cleanse? Any sort whatsoever? If so, what kind? I’m ramping up for a full moon parasite cleanse later this month. Don’t judge me… join me. Eight out of ten of you are probably wormy too 😉.
