Immune System Support

Liz James · July 10, 2020 ·

“People have failed to trust their own immune systems and common sense. We know the things that are most useful in assuring that our immune systems are able to operate with peak efficiency:
🍏 Healthy Diet
😴 Adequate Sleep
πŸ’ͺ Regular Exercise
🌞 Regular Exposure to the sun
Taking supplemental Vitamin D and Vitamin C (naturally sourced) and Zinc
Managing stress
Community (which includes worship and gathering together)
Reasonable hygiene (not excessively wiping everything down)”
~ Kelly Victory, MD

We have the tools my friends! Every single one of us has the tools above!Β
Thankfully, if you feel you have some catching up to do, or need some immune enhancements, Young Living has the bonus tools for your toolkit.Β
πŸ‘‰Thieves
πŸ‘‰ Immupro
πŸ‘‰ NingXia Red
….. these are just a few that quickly come to mind.Β
Living a healthy life isn’t an afterthought. The best time to start is right now!Β

Game Changer

Liz James · July 7, 2020 ·

5 years and 23 days ago I went into surgery thinking I was going to come out an amputee. Frankly, the fact that I was “only” going to lose my left foot was an emotional relief to me…. it could have been much much worse, and more important body parts could have been damaged if things had gone differently.
I know it may sound strange, but I was at peace with the future of a prosthetic (even before the actual complete removal of my foot had taken place). That may account for my literal disappointment when I woke up from surgery and saw my toes peeking out from a well bandaged lower leg…… I knew I was in for a rocky road ahead. Severed tendons, a broken bone, significant soft tissue and connective tissue damage (along with a statement from my surgeon that I’d probably walk with a limp for the rest of my life) did not give much hope for living pain free.
And yet… here I am πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ…. 5 years and 23 days later…. doing all the things I did before my run in with the bull. Frankly, I’m even more active than I was. Farm chores πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ 5K’s, regular gym Boot Camp workouts πŸ’ͺ (thank you Fit Body Boot camp), hiking up a glacier, teaching yoga…. ALL these things without pain or impaired flexibility.Β
Diet, exercise (motion is lotion!), focusing on increased flexibility, clean water intake, toxin free living……. all these are important in recovery and also pain and inflammation management.
The icing on the cake tho….. the special tools in the toolbox…. are these: Agilease or BLM + Sulfurzyme.
Because I had significant bone and ligament damage, I take BLM + Sulfurzyme daily…. every day….. 365 days a year.
I live my life pain free. Yup. Not a day with pain for this gal.Β  πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
2 SULFURZYME TWICE A DAY.
1 BLM TWICE A DAY.
πŸ‘†Game changers for my life πŸ‘†…. Because life is too short to spend it sitting on the bench (or on the porch)! πŸ˜‰
Haven’t tried these yet, and you’re sitting on the sidelines? What are you waiting for? Life is short friends …. make the most of it!Β Β

DIY Bleach

Liz James · July 7, 2020 ·

With farm life, clean and white can be hard to come by! I was just visiting Christan Morales’s team page and saw this recipe. I am so going to give this a try!
DIY BleachΒ
From Lindsay Tuttle:
Bleach is a household favorite, but it has so many disrupting chemicals in it that this is an amazing equivalent! A friend of mine shared this, and I made it a few months ago and added Thieves Household Cleaner to it!
I found my gallon jug at an antique store, but any glass jug will work.
3/4C Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4C Lemon Juice
15 drops Lemon Essential Oil
3/4C Baking Soda
1/4C Thieves Household Cleaner
7C Water
Mix all ingredients in container. For laundry, use 1C per load. Also use in tubs and sinks as you would regular bleach!
Happy Cleaning!Β

Good Days Bad Days

Liz James · July 7, 2020 ·

Facebook is so kind… it always asks “What’s on your mind?” whenever I venture in. (As if they care😢. Believe me, they don’t condone my view of the current narrativeπŸ˜‰)
These three things have been consuming quite a bit of my time these days… what about you? What’s something that’s consuming quite a bit of your time (good or bad) these days?

Honey

Liz James · May 30, 2020 ·

Who doesn’t love honey? 🐝

Raw (unfiltered & unpasteurized) honey has recently been found to have an added health benefit!

Research has revealed honey’s ability to decrease the overall amount of cholesterol in the bloodstream. Pretty cool, huh?

🐝Quick Facts (based on the study linked below) 🐝

🌼 Honey was compared with sucrose in this study. Each study participant was given approx 10 teaspoons of either sucrose or honey per day for 6 weeks.
🌼 Those who consumed honey had significantly decreased total cholesterol and LDL (the “bad” guys), and increased HDL (the “good” guys).
🌼 Conversely, those who consumed sucrose had increased total cholesterol and LDL levels, and a decrease in HDL levels.
🌼 The main finding of the study was the ability of raw honey to modulate certain risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease. 🐝

I love raw honey for a variety of reasons, and this study gave it another βœ… in my book. There really are amazing healing capabilities in whole fresh foods!

Raw honey can sometimes be found in grocery stores…. but usually, it is best found at Farmer’s Markets, Feed Stores, and thru a neighborhood beekeeper….. the more local the source the better it will serve you 🐝 and your allergies.

🐝Honey is also loaded with something called polyphenols…. a nutritionally dense phytochemical having antioxidant properties.

Want to spice up your honey a little and add even more polyphenols to your day? Add a drop or two of YL Clove Vitality (#5620) or YL Cinnamon Vitality (#5585) oil to your honey. Both oils are approved for ingestion by the FDA. 🐝
