Do Thoughts Affect Our Health?

Liz James · March 24, 2023 ·

We’re on day 9 of the 14 Day Reset today, and the changes our group is seeing are so beautiful. Although the focus is on inflammation, much much more is happening (including the bonus of weight loss in some people). 🙌
Here’s a video that ties in some of the teachings that have been released on emotions in the 14Day Reset group. The topic is too important not to share.
(The next round of 14Day Reset starts on April 10th!)

****************************
Kristi Zittle, I just love you! (She has been educating on emotions) I have listened to your video twice now, and I wanted to drop a science nugget in support of all you have been so generously sharing about emotions. I love when scripture and science bump into one another and truth comes out no matter which way you turn it. Proverbs 23:7 says “As a man thinks, so is he.” We’ve got to meditate(focus) on that which is good in God’s eyes….. especially the voices (those not from God) we hear whose intention is to tear us down. Are our thoughts about ourselves (and others too) Biblically based? What effect do these thoughts have on the hypothalamus 🧐 (and then ultimately the rest of the body)?…. listen and find out! 😉
In my mind, I tend to be more motivated when I know the “why”….. I was one of those kids who was always asking “why” growing up…it probably drove my parents crazy 😂 . I pray this blesses someone today!
xoxo~ liz

The Goodness of Bergamot

Liz James · February 7, 2023 ·

Bergamot. ‘Tis the season to be on the 👀 for seasonal moody blues, and bergamot is known for its “pick me up😍 happy” aroma. No surprise there, citrus oils have been studied extensively in their mood supporting properties.

Just for fun…🤓❤️… Google these phrases…
“Pubmed.gov clinical application of bergamot”
.
.
“Pubmed.gov efficacy of bergamot”
.
.
“Pubmed.gov attenuates behavior in rats” 🐀
.
.
There’s some seriously interesting data on the benefits of bergamot.😉 Do a little digging, and in the meantime, start diffusing it around grumpy anxious people and do a little of your own anecdotal data collecting in the process😜.
Life is good. It’s better with bergamot diffusing 🙌❤️!
(It’s also one of my fave electrolyte balancing water flavors!)

What’s in your diffuser today?

Reading Challenge

Liz James · January 30, 2023 ·

In September of 2020, I heard & obeyed what God said to do (& NOT do). Walking away from a 6 figure income might have been a scary endeavor had God not already prepared my heart (and Charlie’s too) to step into obedience. The last few years have been full of surprises & opportunities I would have never experienced had I chosen to ignore what God said and stayed where it would be considered “uncomfortably comfortable” by most: when personal values don’t align with employer status quo.

Book 1: The School of Obedience is an oldie I had never read before. It’s loaded with pearls of wisdom & heapings of truth. I highly recommend it. We can’t fully walk in God’s blessings if we aren’t obedient enough to responsibly receive them.

Book 2: Arise and Stand is written by my friend Andrea. Wheeew!🙌❤️🙏 It’s part autobiography & part Bible study. The subtitle is “Breaking through oppression and walking in the full freedom of Christ.” Spiritual oppression is real y’all…. as Christians we don’t tend to talk about that enough. Good versus evil every single day, & if a person is struggling, there’s oppression plain & simple. The question is….. is the person comfortable being spiritually oppressed? I see this in my practice at a health level with some clients….. so many people are comfortable in their discomfort for a variety of reasons, even tho that thinking is to their detriment😥. Another book I give two 👍👍to.

Book 3: I learned the truth about vaccines probably 20 years ago, and the truth (re: safety and efficacy) is NOT what we were taught in Pharmacy school. The title of this book will make more sense once you dig into it. It has 1240 references and solidly affirms the truth we were not taught. Shocker (not!!) …. profit over purpose is a common theme in the vax industry. It’s a great book for the seasoned truth seeker, but might be a little on the heavy side for newbies. (If someone is in the latter category, I would suggest instead reading 📚 Dissolving Illusions by Dr Suzanne Humphries as a starting point).

Are you reading any books right now that are pushing you to grow & become a better version of you? I’d love to borrow from your list!

Protect Your Health Assets

Liz James · January 30, 2023 ·

We (the USA) spend more money on “healthcare” care than any other country in the world, yet we are among the sickest. The biggest reason for this is that a person forfeits their health when they hand over their care to someone else without asking lots and lots and lots of questions first, during, and always.🤓

We are our own best advocates.

Yes, it requires some work. All good things do.😉

No, you don’t have to be an expert. Just a willingness to learn and listen to how your own body speaks.

Yes, it is helpful to have a mentor or coach who has a strong background or license. “Coach” is a term used very loosely these days. A coach can have a sandlot team or an NFL status. Choose wisely.

No, it’s not expensive. Being chronically sick IS tho. It’s much easier to reverse a process earlier rather than later.

You can do it. The question is…. when are you ready to?
