Inflammation

Plant Power

Liz James · August 18, 2020 ·

I thought I knew which plant this essential oil comes from looked like. ( I was wrong.) So much for knowing what I thought I knew! 😜 But seriously, curiosity is important in the learning process.
Shall we play a game?

🌿 This essential oil is available as both “regular” and vitality. (If you are unfamiliar with those terms, it means this particular oil may be diffused, taken internally (or cooked with), or used topically.
🌿 It comes from several different countries (none of which  is the USA)….. and was found to be used by the Egyptians in the mummification process. (Historically, it was highly valued for its varied uses)
🌿 Primary constituents (that which makes it an effective “tool” in our ‘at home’ wellness box) include :
Sabinene – known to support healthy inflammatory response and also create an unfavorable environment for fungus & wayward bacteria. Also a potent antioxidant
Beta-Caryophyllene –  also known for its strong support of a healthy inflammatory response, and a potent antioxidant.
Limonene- known for enhancing skin health, supporting kidney function, and also acts as a potent antioxidant.
🌿 This essential oil has been found to support and stimulate metabolism.
🌿 A study conducted in 2002 found that inhaling the fragrance from this essential oil induced a marked increase in plasma adrenaline concentration (ie = more energy!)

BENEFITS ENERGY AND METABOLISM AND SUPPORTS HEALTHY INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE……… THROWING IN A LITTLE PROTECTIVE “ATTITUDE” AGAINST FUNGUS AND WAYWARD BACTERIA…..
Who am I? 😎

Sunshine Benefits

Liz James · July 22, 2020 ·

One of the fringe benefits of cleaning up your body (ie: ditching toxic ☠️ products) is pretty evident during the summer months. 🌞Sunburns and sun damage (tho they can still happen) usually become a less common occurrence.
Before I began cleaning up my diet, my skin care & personal care products, and our household cleaners and chemicals, it was not uncommon for me to get a decent sunburn a couple times a year. In college (years ago!), I got a few really memorable ones.😳
#thebabyoilyears #ThanksYLforallthetools
#ThievesHouseholdCleanerforthewin
Sun exposure is super beneficial on many levels, not the least of which is its role in the body’s ability to synthesize Vitamin D. We should strive for daily exposure to the sun, not hide from it! Many people fear going out in the sun because they burn so very easily, and while melanin plays a part in whether or not you are prone to sunburn, the reality is that the risk of sunburn and sun damage rises the more “polluted” the inside of your body is. I’m a blonde haired blue eyed farm girl, and have lived this fact.
There is a second part of this equation tho.
🌞In addition to ditching toxins, seek out foods that are high in antioxidants (like blueberries, wolfberries, kale, dark chocolate, beans, and pecans). These help bind up the damaging free radicals from both toxins and excess sun exposure.
I love that NingXia Red is loaded with both wolfberries and blueberries! It is a daily staple in our home.
🌞You’ll also want to eat foods high in lycopene. Lycopene is an antioxidant AND it also absorbs both UVA and UVB radiation. Reach for watermelon, tomatoes, red bell peppers, asparagus, red cabbage, and mangos as often as you can!
🌞Omega-3 Fatty Acids come into play as well! Does that surprise you? They help maintain our skin’s integrity and aid in a proper inflammatory response. In other words, they help our body cope with a little too much time in the sun. Walnuts, salmon, cod liver oil, flax, hemp and chia seeds are all loaded with Omega-3’s.
I try to get a handful of walnuts in my diet daily, but I ALWAYS take my OmegaGize3 (item #3097)!
🌞Foods high in beta carotene are also important. Beta carotene converts to Vitamin A in our body, and committing to a diet rich in carrots, dark leafy greens, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, apricots, and red bell peppers over time (10 weeks according to one study) provides natural sunscreen protection.
🌞Green Tea contains a flavanol known as EGCG
(epigallocatechin gallate) which has been found to help reduce skin damage from UVA light and also help support healthy collagen (the protein responsible for our skin’s elasticity).
Young Living’s organic Vanilla Lemongrass green Tea (item # 32205) is just as good iced as it is hot. ☕️ Organic tea (and coffee) is so very important because the traditional non-organic processing methods are loaded with ☠️toxins.
🌿Young Living does have an amazing sunscreen (SPF 50 item #24137) that is toxin free (most on the market are loaded with unhealthy ingredients)…. So this was a welcome addition in our home when it became available a few years back!

Enjoy that sunshine friends! 🌞It’s one of God’s ways of smiling on us and it’s an absolutely free health and wellness tool we all have access to.
Be well!

Wolfberries for the Win

Liz James · July 14, 2020 ·

About 6 1/2 years ago, I ripped open the two oz NingXia Red packet that was in my YL Starter Kit and drank it. It was tasty, but I didn’t yet understand the significance, or the science behind what I had just consumed (other than that it was mighty tasty! ☺️). It wasn’t until I read the book you see in this picture, that I got a fuller understanding of just how much purpose was in that packet.
If you are a science nerd like me, this book will make your heart go pitter patter. (You can find it at www.DiscoverLSP.com)

I’ve heard soooooooo many personal stories about NingXia Red since I started drinking it myself. One of my health stories is this….. see those glasses on the table beside the book? They aren’t for reading and they aren’t for driving. I started wearing glasses when i was a Junior in college for nearsightedness.Well, the longer I drank NingXia Red consistently, the more my glasses started bothering me…. like my prescription was too strong. 😳 About 5 years ago, I went to my optometrist and had to get a weaker prescription. A couple years ago, I pretty much quit wearing glasses entirely.
I still carry them in my truck and do wear them if it is night time and I’m driving in an area I’m not familiar with…. but 99% of the time, I am glasses free. (The glasses you see on the table are blue blockers for protecting my eyes from the computer screen).

Can we talk science and genetics for a second? My family has a strong history of age related macular degeneration. My grandmother went blind from it and other older family members have it now. Protecting my eyes is high on my priority list.
Wolfberries are loaded with zeaxanthin and lutein, both of which have been shown to help support eye health in dramatic ways. Wolfberries are one of the main ingredients in NingXia Red.

A sweet friend of mine once said to me:
“You can pay the farmer 👩‍🌾 now, or you can pay the pharmacist 👩‍🔬 later.”
Truer words could not be spoken.
Is NingXia Red worth it? Are my eyes worth it… not to mention my brain and heart health? Absolutely.
Everyone’s NingXia Red story is different than anyone else’s because we are uniquely made…..I’d love to hear your NingXia Red success story!

PS: see that little cardinal peering thru the window? I didn’t notice him until I had taken the picture. Cardinals were my grandmother’s favorite bird ❤️. I’d like to think she just gave her nod of approval to this message!

Game Changer

Liz James · July 7, 2020 ·

5 years and 23 days ago I went into surgery thinking I was going to come out an amputee. Frankly, the fact that I was “only” going to lose my left foot was an emotional relief to me…. it could have been much much worse, and more important body parts could have been damaged if things had gone differently.
I know it may sound strange, but I was at peace with the future of a prosthetic (even before the actual complete removal of my foot had taken place). That may account for my literal disappointment when I woke up from surgery and saw my toes peeking out from a well bandaged lower leg…… I knew I was in for a rocky road ahead. Severed tendons, a broken bone, significant soft tissue and connective tissue damage (along with a statement from my surgeon that I’d probably walk with a limp for the rest of my life) did not give much hope for living pain free.
And yet… here I am 🙌🙌🙌…. 5 years and 23 days later…. doing all the things I did before my run in with the bull. Frankly, I’m even more active than I was. Farm chores 👩‍🌾 5K’s, regular gym Boot Camp workouts 💪 (thank you Fit Body Boot camp), hiking up a glacier, teaching yoga…. ALL these things without pain or impaired flexibility.
Diet, exercise (motion is lotion!), focusing on increased flexibility, clean water intake, toxin free living……. all these are important in recovery and also pain and inflammation management.
The icing on the cake tho….. the special tools in the toolbox…. are these: Agilease or BLM + Sulfurzyme.
Because I had significant bone and ligament damage, I take BLM + Sulfurzyme daily…. every day….. 365 days a year.
I live my life pain free. Yup. Not a day with pain for this gal.  🙌🙌🙌
2 SULFURZYME TWICE A DAY.
1 BLM TWICE A DAY.
👆Game changers for my life 👆…. Because life is too short to spend it sitting on the bench (or on the porch)! 😉
Haven’t tried these yet, and you’re sitting on the sidelines? What are you waiting for? Life is short friends …. make the most of it!

Immunity Help?

Liz James · May 24, 2020 ·

Just out of curiosity, how many of you would have raised your hand to be a literal guinea pig for a “groundbreaking” COVID vaccine trial?

Ummmmm no. Me neither.

And yet…… apparently, 15 human guinea pigs between the ages of 18 and 55 did just that.

Moderna’s ‘rona vaccine, the class favorite of Dr. Fauci (interestingly, financed by Bill Gates), had a press release this week regarding its first clinical trial on 15 healthy adults.

Three of the 15 volunteers developed Grade 3 systemic events (20% of the study subjects) when injected with the 250mcg dose.

What is a Grade 3 Systemic event?
* Per the FDA this would be defined as a health event “preventing daily activity and requiring medical intervention”.

I dug a little deeper #becauseImacuriouscat……

Grade 3 is considered a “severe reaction” that includes one or more of the following:

💉 Requires a narcotic pain reliever or prevents daily activity
Significant discomfort at rest
💉 Redness and swelling greater than 10cm ( that’s a 4inch wheal/welt)
💉 Fever between 102.1 – 104
💉 Tachycardia (fast heart beat) greater than 130beats per min (bpm)
💉 Hypertension (systolic- top number when reading blood pressure) greater than155
💉 Hypertension (diastolic – bottom number) greater than 100
💉 Hypotension (systolic- blood pressure too low this time) less than 80
💉 Respiratory Rate – greater than 25 breaths per min
💉 Nausea/ vomiting which prevents daily activity or requires outpatient IV hydration
💉 Diarrhea – 6 or more watery stools a day or requiring outpatient IV hydration
💉 Headache – significant enough to require a narcotic or prevent daily activity
💉 Fatigue – significant enough to prevent daily activity
Myalgia – significant enough to prevent daily activity.
💉 Illness- prevents daily activity and requires medical intervention
There is also a panel of labwork that falls within this category. I’ll include it here:

fda required labwork for trial participation

Because it is a trial, there are no long term studies as to the long term effects of the vaccine either on a human or their offspring.  #ashotinthedark

20% of the subjects had a Grade 3 reaction. And those were healthy adults age 18-55….. wonder what that would look like in say…… 300 million people?

I personally have some questions….. 🙋‍♀️

* Will they be testing on children, the elderly, and the unhealthy before moving to release the vaccine to the public? After all…. (they bypassed the studies on primates and ferrets with Dr. Fauci’s blessings, so it is plausible that they will not be doing studies on children, the elderly, and the unhealthy prior to releasing the vaccine)

* How do they explain that, to date, there is no vaccine for the common cold, SARS, MERS, or Bird Flu although there has been plenty of time to find one #andtheyvebeenlooking, and yet they have been able to formulate one for CV-19 in less than 6 months?

* Prior attempts at developing COVID vaccines have been troublesome as an animal who has been vaccinated with a COVID vaccine then sickens and dies when exposed to the wild virus. 🤔 What would make this one different?

👉👉👉On February 4th, 2020 Dr. Fauci granted liability immunity to vaccine companies hoping to sell their COVID vaccine to “we the people” of the USA.

Liability immunity….. What does that mean?  It means that if things go wrong with the COVID vaccine…. real wrong… real, REAL wrong 💀 …..the vaccine company would not be sued or held responsible. #hmmmmmmmm

Please, I ask you…. Is there any other industry out there that holds no culpability for a product that they provide?

Would you get on an airplane made by a company who was not legally bound to get you safely from point A ✈️ to point B ✈️ ?

Food for thought certainly.
