Essential Oils

Faith or Fear

Liz James · April 25, 2020 ·

Yesterday was a pharmacy πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ workday for me.

Masked and gloved…. because that’s how pharmacy rolls right now.

It’s 10 hours of opportunity to observe humanity while working, and as all recent workdays, there are exactly two kinds of people out and about…. those that are living in faith πŸ™Œ and those that are living in fear 😱 .

“For God hath not given us a spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” ~ 2 Timothy 1:7

The two…. faith and fear … cannot coexist in the same body.

I have friends who are elderly and immunocompromised who have been operating thru this season on faith with a sound mind. They are protecting themselves, but standing strong…. shoulders back, and carrying a wink and a smile in their eyes. (These are my dear folks who should and do wear a mask).

I have other elderly friends who are 80+ years old…. strong as an ox still (most of them are farmers πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ and ranchers btw) who are taking minimal precautions, and navigating life as they always have been…. with confidence, humor, and a practical mindset.

These two groups are my personal heroes….. I pray I am like them when I am 80+ and going strong. Life is short friends… and they make the most of every day. πŸ’•

Then, I see others….. of all ages….. shoulders either up around their ears or curled forward, eyes that have lost their sparkle, wearing a mask made of anything they could find. Asking how (or IF) “we” are going to survive all of this… and then go on to quote all that the mainstream media has said for the last many days. Clearly, they’re absorbing all that is being dished out.

Fear can be an idol all of its own. People don’t start out wanting to be fearful, but the mind is a powerful thing. Constant exposure to fear based media will begin to shape and program the brain until fear becomes the driving force of how someone thinks, acts, and responds. Our immune system responds accordingly to how our brain is programmed.

Fear drives the immune system downward to ultimate sickness. 😷

Faith raises the immune system. πŸ™πŸ™Œ

Faith and fear cannot coexist. The Bible is very clear about this, and interestingly (but not surprisingly) science endorses this statement.

We will become what we think about the most, and it is terribly important to be aware of the type of information we are exposing ourselves to.

According to science, it takes 63 days to develop a pattern in the brain. And, according to the Nielsen report, United States adults watch roughly 5 hours of televison per day (or 77 days a year).

Television

“Tell you vision” .

If what your eyes see and ears hear feed a fear based mentality, I urge you to reconsider what you expose yourself to.

Additionally, if you’ve never tried the Young Living essential oil blend White Angelica, I’d encourage EVERYONE to keep a bottle on hand and apply it or diffuse it daily. Do it for a month and see if it doesn’t change your world…. especially if you spend a great deal of time around negative minded people. #youcanthankmelaterforthistip 😘

Hugs and love friends.

xoxo~ Liz

Itovi

Liz James · April 24, 2020 ·

I’m curious about a few things…….
1.Have you ever had an Itovi scan? If so, how often do you get them?
2.Do you understand the information that the Itovi scan relays?
3. Do you own an Itovi scanner? And if so, where do you live?
Itovi updated their app awhile back, and the graphic attached is an easy to read explanation of what the new scanned info looks like . I realized when I was looking at it that I was misinterpreting the scan results slightly. I hope it helps someone else too!

Liz James · April 23, 2020 ·

Happy Earth Day friends! Put a few drops of your favorite essential oil on, and go out and wrap your bare toes around the blades of grass, pet a dog, look at the sky, enjoy the breeze, and get some good old fashioned grounding in….. even if it’s just for 5 minutes or so today. God gave us this big beautiful world 🌏 to enjoy and to bring us joy!

Really, every day is Earth Day for those of us who use Young Living oils! πŸ’• Thanks to their Seed to Seal promise, every little bottle o’ goodness we have available to us helps us be calmer, happier, healthier, stronger, brighter, more focused, and well rested (among other things ! πŸ˜‰ )

Have you ever wandered around YL’s Seed to Seal website? If not… I encourage you to do so! So much care given to our oils from the time a seed is planted until a package arrives at our doorstep.

Quarantina

Liz James · April 16, 2020 ·

In this strange world we’re currently living in, I don’t care if you are an introvert or an extrovert, there’s something to be said for individual freedom. I’m missing mine, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that sentiment!

Charlie (my husband) is an extrovert now working predominately from home… he’s missing his social time that comes with working in a group office.

I am an introvert and working predominately at home (except when I’m wearing my white coat) is my jam and comfort zone.

We are all adapting aren’t we?

Don’t forget to use your tools and oil up! … remember, specific oil blends do help to:

πŸ‘‰ drive energy up πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ …..or down 😴

πŸ‘‰ create sunny 🌞 dispositions when your housemates might feel stormy.

πŸ‘‰ help brains function when they’d rather be in bed

Even as adults… there are times we’d rather just crawl into bed and hug our blankies. And that’s ok…. just don’t make a habit of it! 😘 This is a time of stillness in our lives we will likely never experience again together.

Reflect. Reset. Rejuvenate. Recover. Renew.
You’ve got this!

xoxo~ liz

Smart Gardening

Liz James · April 10, 2020 ·

Many of you are gardening πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ this year, and I hope thought has been given as to how to organically manage pests and weeds. I have been an organic gardener for years, and organic gardening requires a bit of pre-planning and a willingness to exercise.

Pesticides and herbicides have a lifetime of potential side effects. Thankfully, there ARE alternatives out there, although you gotta be willing to put some “sweat equity” into your food.

Ya’ll are a smart bunch…. and I feel certain you’ve thought this thru. Lest you want to give up and reach for a toxic chemical, I’m speaking up on behalf of your mitochondria…. it’s one of the most important bits of you. Your cell’s mitochondria are your energy makers, helpers in your detoxification process, and play a supportive role in your immune system. In short…. you surely don’t want to poison this very important bit of you 😘.

Garden on my friends….safely!

xoxo~ liz
